After that performance, we'll be lucky to play in the NIT. No excuse for that kind of showing this late in the season. None, zilch, nada.

It's a long season. Put down the safety razor...

For those talking about our seniors, yes I'm really going to miss Scotty. Sometimes I get down on him. But I do the same with my family. I wouldn't trade Scotty. No way.

That said, yes we have a lot coming back. And activating next year. I have to practically restrain myself when I start thinking about the possibilities next year.

You're right. And the football team should have quite after Mizzou.

Way up there
That had the look and feel of a scrimmage.

I was thinking like the same thing, or like a preseason game against Marathon Oil or EA Sports or something. The crowd didn't help anything, had Royce not had his airballs you may not have known they were there.

People need to chill! Take the good from this game. The team showed a ton of heart. It wasn't their night and they never stopped quitting. They played great defense despite what a lot on here want to say. Shots didn't fall either.

And people need to get off Royce White's back. The dude had 15, 15, and 5 tonight. He led the team in all 3 of those categories and yet some act like he lost us the game.

Never stopped quitting? That's not good:shocked:

It took this long for the 1st ridiculous post!! Seems like the board is starting to realize that this is a pretty good team!

Can't wait for Saturday. Royce was Royce. Looks like Babb held Brown to 3-16 shooting. Is Saturday a sell out. It should be.
Yes it is. I just went to the cyclones website to see how many were left and it said none were available.

If Babb can continue to play great defense and shut down Tyshawn, I love our chances on Saturday. We won't shoot like we did today.

I want to tip my hat to Chris Babb on the way he has played defense during conference play. Without him shutting down the other teams go-to-guy.

Way to go Chris.........offense from you is a plus!

In a weird way, this game showed what we're capable of. We shot 33 percent and nearly won on the road. And that 33 percent mark isn't going to happen again.

My analysis from listening to the radio. Good effort, but had one or two really bad stretches.

BTW, Hoiberg needs to give Allen a red light for the first 10 seconds of the shot clock. He has consistently gotten the ball and chucked up a quick shot, often times before our front line can get set and in position for an offensive rebound. This has been going on all season and it needs to stop if we are going to have success. I know he's had good nights, but his bad nights far outweigh the good.

I am to the point that I just feel sorry for Allen. He didn't ask for all the hype that in hindsight looks absurd ("Best player I've ever coached!!!!" -- Bobby Lutz). And now we have him playing out of position. I am rooting for him to find some comfort level and get it going.

Sorry to say but Kansas is must win. At some point we need to beat one of the big boys. Unless we plan to sweep OU, Tech, OSU, A&M, and K-State. That seems highly unlikely.

At least saturday is now a win/win..either we pull it off or I don't have to hear again about how every game is a "must win"..because having lost a "must win", the pressure will be off, as all is already lost.

Must. Spread. Rep. Around.

Thank you for a well reasoned post. It is amazing the lack of basketball understanding that went on in the first page of this thread.

We played on the road, against a talented team, that needed a win in the worst way, and we couldn't make a shot.

In spite of all of that, and after falling behind by 18, we fought back, and gave ourselves a chance to win at the end.

People need to get a grip, and stop whining. This is a pretty good basketball team, and they have a chance to do a lot of good things before they are done.

Just looking at the boxscore.. a lot of positives in there. I'm surprised we actually got more offensive rebounds than they did..forced more turnovers than they did(3 steals by ejim), so we got more shots off than they did, unfortunately we didn't make many of those shots. Can't wait for Kansas!
