With 2 of the top 3 gaurds out or severely injured, we needed a big game from Cujo Milan and Jefferson. Didn't happen. Wouldn't have made it past the next game anyway. Heise was the comeback player of the year. Worried about the talent of the fresh who didn't play and looked bad when they were in.

Completely disagree. But we do misuse Jefferson a lot by treating him like a ball handler when he’s not capable of consistently not turning it over.

Out of necessity. No Gilbert and a hobbled Tamin led to that. No other great ball handlers outside of Jones.

And yet were known for many years as a 2 that lost 2 a 15. Year after year when the tourney started ISU was front and center. It was embarrassing

And yet it is 1 of only 2 years in our entire history where we won a conference championship.

The defense was much leakier all season.

BRE and a guy like Ward were sorely missed.

Agree we were missing a rim protector. However, when things were clicking the tandem of Jackson, Chatfield and Jefferson's offensive product was refreshing vs. TJ's first 3 years.

But it starts with perimeter defense and teams got in the paint way too easy this year. Some of it was players. But I also feel that teams are adjusting to our funneling/trapping style. Convinced we need to go back to basics and be tough on ball. The trapping is then icing on the cake.

Giving up 90+ in 2 out of the last 3 games isn’t ideal.

When your defense is predicated on guard ball pressure and you don't have those guards it probably is going to go south.

Would love to hear an argument on how this is wrong. What did we win this year? What was better this year over those years.

I’ll start with they didn’t flame out in the first round of the NCAA tournament against a 15 and a 14. The tournament is what people remember.
