Folks need to calm down and look at the facts. Is there any doubt that if Solo and NWB are healthy this game would have been much closer and maybe a win. You're seeing a dog tired team trying to compete but nothing in the tank. Next year we will have a full roster, players won't be having to play out of position and won't have to play as many minutes - the difference between tonight and a year from now will be impressive.

24-4 in losing the 2nd chance points. This is not a dog tired team, they only need to play about 4 minutes at a time. It is about effort. Prohm said tonite he really wants a consistent effort because he hasn't gotten that this year. Full roster or not, if you are not getting back on defense the results are going to be the same.

It's such a case of Jekyll and Hyde with him. I just hope he can kill Hyde once and for all this off season. This is why Cam, to me, is the most important player to watch this off season. Someone that volatile could be dangerous to have around, regardless of how talented he is.

He’s a freshman, and he’ll mature. He will also be surrounded by more effective options which will give the defense more to think about.

From where I was sitting it seemed Cam mailed it in tonight. I was very disappointed/surprised by that.
Must have been planning his nba exit.

Disappointing performance tonight. Proud of the guys at WV. Tonight, not much good.
We have several guys who pout when they don’t get a call. Poor defense and rebounding, and a lot of poor shot selection.

.that said, impressed with OSU. Have seen them several times - well coached team, share the ball well. I know we are probably tired, but they have way better athletes than what we put on the floor. Not even close.

Obvious enough when you consider a broken Brase and Beverly the football player make up 2/7 of our active roster. Not to mention our barely 6' shooting guards.

Some posters are bringing up our injuries. That’s part of it, but we played poorly in a lot of games when we were full strength. Was anyone out for Maryland Eastern Shore?

Quite frankly, the surprising thing about this year is not that we lost seven games in Hilton, it’s that we beat three ranked teams! Who saw that coming after the Milwaukee debacle?

Well I hope you're right! Really ending the season on a sour note.

I really don’t think we would have finished this way without losing Babb and Young. Just totally depleted, and with DJ losing his dad, emotionally drained.

On a positive note, Lewis found his shooting touch and a bit of confidence in the last two. We’ll need that next year. Gotta work on that defensive awareness though (woof).

How many games were we full strength? Maybe 6 tops? I’ll have to look back, but Talley really wasn’t right until mid-January. Brase was probably functional in 6 or 8 games. Jakolby out for a few in the middle. Babb out the last several to end the year and Young out the last few. One scholarship open and two guys sitting. Perfect storm, but yes, those three wins were probably the surprise.

Time to move on. Some of you are downright embarassing. We all knew this year was coming, now you act surprised it's happened?

We were among the youngest, least experienced teams in the NCAA to start with. Then, we were hit by injuries to some of our most important pieces. Hard to win with the group we have now, yet for the most part they kept fighting tonight.

It would be interesting to go back and look at predictions. Would think not many had us at 13 wins and 4-14 in conference.

We just couldn't buy a 2 pt bucket tonight. Thanks to the seniors for all the effort they put into the season.

I was disappointed in the number of people who left before the senior thank yous. I know this yr was rough but I wish a few more people would have stayed to show respect to the seniors. This wasn't a 4 yr senior class but these players did the best they could for us.

I had the NIT as a realistic goal but thought this team could very well end up looking like last years OU team. Team is coming in around my expectations, albeit the lower end, probably would have been at the higher end with better health.

Terrance Lewis actually played basektball tonight, which was nice to see. I really hope he continues to work on his game, because I think he'll help us win games in a couple years.

What happens next year when we have more depth and Cam wants to pout and have a bad attitude? Does Prohm sit him ala McKay? Give him a reality check? Either buy in or pull up a seat? Multiple times tonight and this season I feel like this team could have benefited from sitting his uncooperative behind on the bench. I understand some of his frustrations, but come next season, that attitude has got to be a thing of the past. That's the last negative thing I'm going to say tonight.

Lard seems to have a self-critique hurdle, similar to McKay's senior-spiral and the up/down of Dejean-Jones. Prohm was able to refocus Jameel to an extent. Fred couldn't get BDJ entirely over that hump.

Not sure exactly what I posted "officially" in the preseason predictions, but I found my personal file from around that time, it was something similar to this.

Apparently, I was way-overconfident, but that's 20/20 retro-vision goggles. Finishing under .500 seemed like a remote possibility.

Among random observations, I thought UNI would be better and Tennessee wouldn't be as good. Didn't see the home loss to UWM coming, obviously (who did?). On the positive side, ISU won the Tip-Off — I predicted no better than 2-1.

I agree with this. Regarding Lewis - I am hopeful that finding his three point shot may inspire him. He needs a lot of improvement in the rest of his game. With what we should have next year, I expect him to be a roll player next year - possibly three point specialist. As many coaches have said, do not confuse shooting well with playing well. But, he is making progress. If that continues he could have a solid last two years st isu.

I don't think that it was a coincidence that Terrence was put on, and kept on, arguably OSU's most dangerous scorer. Part of that was certainly a "who else is going to do it" thing. And he does have three more years.
