I want everyone to let this sink in for a minute on what our front court looks like next year.

Jameel McKay, Dustin Hogue, Georges Niang, and Abdel Nader.

My god that must be absolutely terrifying for the rest of the Big 12. Please even give me a reason on how you stop that because you dont.

Further, I'll go out on a limb and guarantee we make the NCAA tourney next year again after we make it this year. This year hasn't even started and trust me I'm beyond excited for this year, but am already salivating at what our lineup could look like next year if we land Vaughn.

Wow. Just wow. Next year will be deep - with Morris and Thomas getting some decent minutes this year, and then Nader and McKay becoming eligible... Niang, Hogue, and Long.... hopefully Vo-Show Vaughn.

Same with Naz and Bluford. I want to keep SDW.

Naz loves Iowa State and so does SDW. They could still get minutes. Bluford has already transferred from JUCO so i doubt he transfers.

It is crazy to think like 5 years ago we were getting excited over a player who had BCS offers and now we have to worry that our 3* and 4* recruits might leave because were getting better talent. God bless you Fred Hoiberg. The dude just wants to win and will get the best talent to do it.

I don't know why people worry so much about who we lose. Someone who's getting minutes isn't transferring out, and they are leaving to play. It's a win win for both parties.

You're right. People shouldn't worry, he's paying his own way for his first semester here.

So McKay has 1.5 years of eligibility left. Can someone explain to me when we will start playing? January of 2014? Or January 2015? I'm far from an expert on transfer rules

This is a great get and fit for the program and Kudos to Fred for aggressively pursuing McKay even with the scholly situation. Kudos to JM to, for looking past paying his way in the spring to join what is looking like a special team in '14.
As always CFH, has a vision and a clear plan. I have little doubt he will guide this program to the promised land.

Welcome to Cyclone Nation J. McKay!

This kid had offers from; Indiana, Florida, Illinois, and Louisville just to name a few coming out of JUCO. Those are not average programs. He'll more than make-up for some of the things Melvin has done for us, and you add extra experience with Thomas, Morris, Hogue, Niang, with us hopefully getting Vaughn. This will be a scary team to face next year, and for years to come. I know the majority of the credit should go to Fred, but lets not forget some of this credit should be given to HILTON MAGIC, and the atmosphere we all create every game.

You forgot Nader. I was very impressed with him last summer.

I'm confident that Fred will have a national title in Ames before his time is over here. I dont know when but he keeps improving talent immensely every single year he has been here.
