That's the DG that we fell in love with over the last 3 years...really clutch tonight!! wtf...why is he taking three point shots down the stretch...Jake strokes one to tie the game up and then no one else touches the ball on the offensive end the rest of the night while puts on a show!!

Pretty sure I must have missed the love for DG the past three years. If anything he's been one of the most chastized players.....

Hard to do anything when none of the other players are moving to try and get open...

We just dont have a guy who can over down the stretch of a close game. Obviously Diante is still not that guy. We have no Hoiberg on this team!

How do we know? Only one guy really touched the ball. He turned it over, and heaved up about 5 terrible looking three's. The only other guy that got a look made it...

6-1. Expectations are simply too high for the personnel we currently have eligible to play. Enjoy the success, look the future and support the cyclones. Crazy how some go from on top of the world to complete meltdown mode.

Agree, but this is a game we should win. Played horribly and got screwed by the refs. That's why people are angry.

officiating definitely was poor, but UNI hit their foul shots, UNI slowed the game down and UNI made the shots they had to make. We have very little inside presence and if the 3's aren't falling and we aren't able to score in transition - we are going to struggle. Tonight we struggled - most good teams are going to play us the way UNI played us, the big 12 is still going to be a struggle based on the inexperience in the post

This.

Fred has said this is DG's team and wants him to take shots. No one else was really lighting the world on fire in the second half, though Jake had a nice 3 to tie it in the last few minutes. A lot of chaotic movement at the end left DG taking the shot as good an option as anything else.

Calm down, we played a subpar game and UNI played a great one with help from the refs.

I'm not thrilled, but this is a not a meltdown game.

Panthers played a great game? What College of Vet Medicine drugs are you taking? We shot a pitiful percentage. Yeah, a couple luck ref calls, but give me a break. We played D and made free throws.

Our last 5 possessions, starting down 2.

0:46 Diante Garrett Turnover.
0:36 Diante Garrett missed Three Point Jumper.
0:15 Scott Christopherson made Free Throw.
0:15 Scott Christopherson made Free Throw.
0:09 Diante Garrett missed Three Point Jumper.
0:00 Diante Garrett missed Three Point Jumper.

He's the senior captain, and supposedly the go to guy. He was 7-23 on the game, with 3 assists. At some point, you need to get your teammates involved. Especially when guys like Jake and Ejim were stepping up in the 2nd half. I haven't had a chance to see much of this team this year, and was skeptical that we were much better than last year. I didn't see a lot of difference from this team and the last few years tonight...

Nobody was getting open or moving. On those last 2 threes we didnt have time to pass or run a screen play. You clearly HAVENT seen the team play this year. DG is by far our best player on the court every night.

Ejim wasnt even on the floor late in the game. Jake was blanketed. Scotty was 3-10 on the night. No point in calling out ANYONE

That game was a real struggle for both teams. UNI definitely stuck to their game plan off slowing down the game and they did a great job of getting back on D and closing lanes so we couldn't easily get to the rim like we have been.

Looking forward to see how we bounce back against cal on Saturday.

And people are optimistic about this season? Yikes. I've seen about 2 1/2 games out of 7 this year, and pretty much 95% of the last three years. I haven't seen much difference except more of the shots were dropping the other 1 1/2 games. 2-10 in the 2nd half of our first road game doesn't give me much confidence.

Ejim and Anderson scored 21 of our 29 2nd half points. The needed to get more looks and a good point guard needs to make that happen. Hopefully tonight was the aberration, not the past 3 + years...
