Jorbo is not even practicing and Fredrick had a freak leg injury so both looked awful Friday. I would be shocked if McCaffery doesn’t guard Tyrese. He’s actually been pretty damn good this year on offense and plays good defense.

Well, only beat one team that is bowl eligible(7-5 Texas.) Ended up 7-5. Barely beat UNI and Kansas. Not exactly impressive.
However, nothing wrong with the Liberty Bowl. What are the chances we play Tennessee? Playing Navy would suck.
If you're going to play the barely beat teams card at least mention we barely lost at Oklahoma and Baylor
If it is Liberty, I like playing Navy! An interesting National opponent. Not worried about the option, as the defense has 3 weeks to prepare. It's much better than having to deal with it in the middle of the year!
Navy would run all over our defense. We would need 3 weeks to run a completely different scheme. We are setup to stop Big 12 spread offenses, not power run/triple option run.
Well as long as we're playing that game:
- Barely lost AT Oklahoma - who is a college football playoff team - #4
- Barely lost AT Baylor - a top 10 team
- Barely lost to Iowa - a top 20 team
Also should have beaten Oklahoma State (top 25) and lost by 7. Yes, you have to win the games, but ISU has been competitive in every single game it has lost including losing 3 games by 1 or 2 points, all to ranked teams and 2 of which are in the top 10. It's not like ISU's 5 losses were getting blown out.
None of ISU's losses came at the hands of a team with a losing record. However, Kansas State had 1 of them for the record, to 5-7 West Virginia - at home too.
Our athletes would dominate Navy. Jamahl Johnson would eat them alive.
LOL... Athlon sports bowl projection has us playing in TWO bowl games...
2 bowl wins to finish 9-5 would be an excellent season.
Players better hope they can get some sleep on the plane with that Bowl Schedule. Fans wil be exhausted as well.
