It was the definition of a pivotal game. Not just for the season but maybe trajectory of Campbell’s run at ISU.

Other than Texas (but we have them at home) there isn’t the typical meat grinder of games, there’s a lot in front of them.
The upcoming game against Kansas may provide some good insight to our progress (can't believe I am referring to Kansas in my statement).
This will be another huge game, pivotal! Will we continue to climb? Which direction is KU headed?

KU is improving, win or lose tody, or against us. It's another game I'd really like to get. Home field. Defend your field!

Negative folks said the same BS after we beat Okie St and they went and beat KSU right after. You guys just can’t enjoy good times man, you must be a lot of fun
ISU had 364 total yards, rushed for 123 on 38 carries, no turnovers, 3/3 on field goals and had 110 yards on kickoffs. Yes, the QB from Cincinnati missed a couple of throws, one with a guy wide open which would have been a sure TD. But after the 1st quarter, the ISU defense totally shut them down.

Lets enjoy this win and the week off, how many on here would have thought we would be 3-1 at the bye week after the Ohio game? The correct answer would be no one.

Special teams were fantastic, as was Higgins. Rocco wasn't his best but hung in there as usual. Secondary was okay, little sloppy but it didn't matter against this team. Sanders did a good job late of making cuts and finding yards.

The defense didn't even have to play well
Their online is about as good as ours as they created little in the way of holes. We didn't get pressure but their qb was a substandard passer. Our LBs were sloppy (again) but because there weren't a lot of holes those were only 2-4 yard gains.

Point is I don't think we played that well yet trounced a team on the road. The only conclusion I have for that is they aren't very good.

Boy, UC is still riding their power ratings due to hanging 70 on directional kentucky. They should have NEVER been favored. ISU ML was plus money , willing to bet Vegas paid out some $$$$ today
Vegas is undervaluing ISU right now. Wonder of there will be adjustment vs BYU. We might be favored depending on how they do vs TCU.

A gloriously boring win by the Cyclones!
Offense very efficient and strategically explosive. Would have liked to see a little more out of the run game, but they held their own today against a decent rush defense. Rocco managed the game well in the rain on the road and saw more running from him w/a TD.
Defense is was just flat out stout most of the day, allowing only 214 total yards for a paltry 3.5 yards per play. Getting 2 more INTs was nice. Really physical, aggressive, took good attack angles, wrapped up and prevented YAC yards; The young LBs were good most of the day today.
Special teams: A fake field goal that actually worked and eventually led to a TD, long kick return, good punt and kick off coverage. Tyler Perkins w/a huge save on a bad snap on a made FG.
It's so good to see a good, solid, boring, Cyclone win on the road.

Indeed, it is Roccotober!
I know what you mean. However, a win like today is never boring. If it is, give me boring every week! Haha

Correct. Expect to beat KU at home. Losing at home to KU would be quite bad.
