Defensively, Iowa is still pretty suspect but Fran understands that and plays a style that tries to get you to take quick shots. With a little patience and a focus on attacking the hoop off the dribble, it's usually only 1 or 2 passes and you get a wide open shot. The thing is, they've played the same way for years and Prohm has never once made that adjustment. Him figuring that out after 5 years would make us more competitive but I wouldn't bank on it, our only chance is probably to catch fire from 3. Even then though, I'm not sure we can make enough stops to win. I think we'd have to score in the 90's to have any kind of shot.
It's been 3 years since we were competitive with them, it'd be nice to at least be in the game for a half.
