I love the hatred & **** talking. I wish the football game had a little more fire. Can't wait for the games in Ames next year.

It sure would have been nice to have Solomon out there against Cook. He's going to match the strength, and he's going to find him and put a body on him when the ball goes up. Lindell would have been nice too with his ability to shoot the three, and get into the lane.

Smarter offense and back to the scrapping for loose balls kind of play helps too.

84 points despite being that awful on offense says there's still capabilities there.

Things had been a little too good for ISU so last night can be a good thing. The key will be not letting a weird environment and opponent playing with their hair on fire to carry over.

Yeah, when you look at all the factors that were going against them, it's amazing it was even a game late. They definitely didn't hang their heads, or quit, but they definitely didn't do the things they needed to do on the defensive end or in rebounding to stem the tide. Offensive end was a bit of a mess too, as you noted.

Driving home from work last night listening to the pregame on the radio I thought to myself, I think I’d rather have Solomon available tonight instead of Wigs.

Yeah, that's where our depth will really pay off for us this year. We will have the ability to make match up adjustments based on the teams we're playing, and Solomon would have been the obvious adjustment last night. Would have been nice to have Lindell's shooting ability out there tonight, but offense is not where we lost this one.

Oh really? Would you care to elaborate?

The only upper class men playing would be Shayok Jacobson and Babb. Only one of those players played at Iowa state before this season. The rest are freshmen, or Wigginton’s case, not playing.

So get your facts straight, and then stick with wrestling

Georges Niang is from Massachusetts. I daresay he is nearly the same fan favorite level that Fred was as a player.

I love the players that choose Iowa State. Where they are from is immaterial.

Naz and George are probably my two favorite Cyclones ever, I am convinced they understand how the fans feel about them better than any players that have come before them, and like you said they are from the east coast and the other isn't even from the US.

There are only two words for that game. SUPER. BOWL. What the hell is wrong with Iowa? I actually felt bad for Bohannon that game, he looked like he didn’t want to go along with that game plan.

Bohannon's never been great, but he basically sucks this year. Honestly didn't see that coming.

Yeah it was all defense and rebounding that killed them

Yeah thought that guys didn’t attack the lane enough.

I’m real high in Conditt long term, but it’s pretty weird he’s gotten into the game before Lard both games Cams been back.

Can only assume Prohm is trying to prove some kind of point, cause Cam is clearly more important to this season.

I like Prohm but he’s very reluctant to change the game plan when things aren’t working- a la Purdue game with Burton.

It's from my childhood but Julius Michalik will stand as a true Cyclone forever.

The crazy thing is that our offense could have and should have been better. Bad ball movement, poor shot selection, settled for threes (especially in the first half). And yet we still scored 84.

If anyone from Hokdom claims that ISU played well last night they're even more delusional than I thought.

ISU may have even played worse last night than two seasons ago.

Think I saw him running off the floor holding up a #1 after the final buzzer.

Big moment for him.

And Premsl will go down as a legend in Iowa City for his sacrifice.

Yeah, this game (and that one) are the reason I don't take any game for granted, especially not instate rivalry games. No way of ever telling how it's going to go, though last night, you could predict that the Hawks were going to fight like their backs were against the wall, and they did.
