Wahl was my biggest worry too. But he never got into the flow of the game and didn't know what to do with Jaz guarding him. He thrives when he has time to back his way into the lane. We don't give players time to do that.
Turning your back to the basket against ISU means you are immediately double teamed. I freaking love it. They also do that cool little 'blue' defense hedging off the 3 point line Hoiberg's team would do but even better.

Miami is #62 in NET ranking with 3 quad three losses and only 4 quad one wins.

For comparison, K-State had 4 quad one wins and zero quad three losses

Our whole conference was big dance worthy.

No game is gonna be anything we haven’t been through. Tech is probably the team I want to avoid most given we outplayed KU on the road.

Buddy of mine is a Bucky fan and texted his congrats. He said they hadn't seen anything near this level of intensity on the defensive end of the floor..not even close.

It's crazy how top to bottom the B1G was just not a defensive league at all this year. That's typically not the case and there's a reason why some of the B1G teams put up gaudy offensive numbers.

The mid range jumper is a lost art. Mike Woodson off the window was a staple for me as a kid for my second team IU. Brock and Gabe both do it well.
I got too wrapped up in the game at times and remember stupidly shouting, "Brockington, why didn't you just stop and pop your midrange shot". lol. (When obviously driving to the rim was the correct play, but its so fun to see those shots go down that Gabe and IB make vs. getting blocked)

Should have been a foul on Davison after the ball was knocked away...

He should have been tossed and/or fouled out very early in that game.

He would have hated playing in the B12 this season. Can you imagine him vs. Texas Tech? Dysfunction City.

Thoughts for anyone who says Hepburn made the difference and repeating: I really think it sucked for him:
-he had zero points at that point.

-Hunter had snuck by him multiple times and just missed bunnies, and players with more length later were a problem.

-that was the first time ISU had been in severe foul trouble all season in the first half and they had to change their plans as well.

-any points by Davison after about the 15 minute mark in the 2nd half shouldn't have happened because he should have been out for either flagrant (elbows), technicals or fouling out.

There's been several of ISU's wins where if I'm a coach, I'm secretly thinking 'No idea how we won, just get off the court and on the bus before they call us back' but that's kind of the point; playing ISU can be a hornet's nest and if they come out on top, they don't need to apologize for it.
And this was not one of those games. Without the one-sided officiating we easily win that game by about 15.

Davison’s foul where he stomped Conditt’s ankle should have been an automatic ejection. He could have ended his career with an intentional violent foul.

Instead the homer refs called a foul on George. How do you foul a guy who can’t even see who is stomping on his ankle and shoving him in the back?

Horrible one sided officiating throughout. Dead right that ISU only won because they were 16-20 pts better. They made 6 more field goals.

He should have received a flagrant for hitting Jazz on the chin on that inbounds pass too. My wife was horrified seeing Jazz's head snap back like it did.
