MM needs to bring the ball up on the last minute possessions. Kane is absolutely horrible and refuses to give up the ball. Other teams have figured this out.

On a side note, WTF is up with KSU booing after their guy got away with a clear flagrant 1 foul? The refs were idiots for not looking at that again, but to boo about it is crazy.

Yeah, he deserves some slack. He didn't do well on that last possession and had a couple other bad moments in the first half, but I'm not sure ISU is even within single digits if not for Kane.

Given how well KSU shot and how terrible we shot that half, we are in good position. Hopefully at least one of those change--preferably both--in the second half. We have rebounded really well. There were a couple of sequences where KSU got several offense rebounds because of long rebounds that just went right to KSU players. Otherwise doing great--especially Mel.

And had Ejim blocked a breakaway layup like Kane got blocked people would be outraged if he got a flagrant 1.

With Niang out for the majority of the half and Southwell all of a sudden lighting it up rather than bricking everything, it could certainly be worse. Melvin and DeAndre are really carrying us.

Game is right there for the taking (thanks DeAndre and Melvin). Gotta start putting a body on somebody when the ball goes up, and keep working to get good shots. Gotta make sure if we go cold for a spell in the 2nd half we don't let it effect the rest of our game like we did this half. Can't compound mistakes.

That wasn't a clear flagrant at all. Traditionally, that's what every team/fanbase expects to see when an opponent goes strong to the basket. It looked worse because it's two fast guys and Kane excels at dramatic reactions to hard fouls.

Good tough game so far. About what anyone could really expect so far. It'll be a close one all the way through.

Yeah we wouldn't boo if our player body slammed theirs and ended up just getting a regular foul.
