If Colorado was say #23 Kenpom and we had a 3-0 on them home/away/neutral, imagine what that would do to our numbers.

My MIL is the eldest of 16 - and they ended up with 8 boys and 8 girls - just as the law of averages would have predicted
There were 16 in his family too. My grandmother used to start each day making 4 loaves of bread, and on weekends she'd do that while also making 6 pies, just to feed the entire platoon.

16 kids? No chance they were married.

A couple decides to have four children. They're a little disappointed that all four are girls ( hoping for at least one boy). So they have another. And another. And another. After seven girls, their doctor assured them that if they try one more time, the Law of Averages is in their favor 100 to 1 that will be a boy. So they do, and of course, the eighth child is...a girl.
Moral: the doctor was talking out of his ass. They should not have been at all shocked the eighth was a girl.
Why am I posting this in today's GameDay thread? ;)
The odds were only 50/50 it was a going to be a boy, unless he had a genetic condition where all of the “Y” sperm we’re non-viable, then the odds were zero unless the woman had relations with someone else. Historians have speculated that this is why King Henry VIII had only daughters from all of his wives except the last one.

Sorry the science geek in me refused to stay silent

It does make me wonder. If CU were to only lose by a point or two, how much would their NET improve? And then does that actually make ISU's resume better with two other impressive wins against CU?

It seems dumb that this game is scheduled. It seems the Big 12 would know that both teams were going to Maui when making the schedule. There's only 5 teams you play twice, why not play it safe and not put CU/ISU as a 2x matchup.

Maybe. There was no guarantee that ISU and Colorado would meet in the second round. And scheduling for 16 teams is a big enough project even without those considerations. Teams fill out their own non-conference schedules.
