He looks not okay. Also had bad body language in the game @ KU, but has appeared better the last few.
It's been a lot of things with him lately. The turnovers. The body language. The technical on Saturday. Wouldn't mind if he got a rest most of the second half.

He’s hit or miss, when he’s on though he’s incredible. From my coach couch, it looks like the mental aspect really affects him. If someone is physical and he doesn’t get calls he starts to pout and lets it snowball into worse decisions.

At the 15' mark, when it was 10-2, you could extrapolate that the final score would be about 80-16, at that same pace.

Colorado has picked it up some.

About what I expected in this game. Colorado lacks talent and Iowa State has righted the ship with their play so this had blowout written all over it. They just need to play the same way in the second half.

The bigger story tonight is Texas A&M and Purdue losing (not that Purdue had a shot at a 1 seed anyway) so I think Iowa State's path to the 1 seed is pretty clear if they win out. I think it'll be tough for the SEC to bag a 3rd 1 seed because they'll likely cannibalize each other so assuming that Auburn, Duke and likely one of Florida or Alabama are locked in, the 4th 1 seed is likely down to Houston or Iowa State. It's out there for the taking IMO.

Agreed. I stated in the last game thread that he’s governed by his emotions and don’t understand all the dumbs that post got. It seems very apparent

Gilbert has a tough job really. He's told by TJ to attack on offense, to really push the envelope but not cross the line. That's difficult to play with just the right balance.

He's a out of balance right now and it has affected his confidence, like a good hitter who experiences a slump.

I would just keep encouraging him to bust his butt on defense because his success there will translate to his offense.

Yeah I wouldn't want him to stop being aggressive on offense. He was great to start the season. And with Tamin getting full strength again having multiple guards that can do that will be great in March.

I’d like to see him pick his spots better. We have enough weapons but still feels like he’s going 1 on 2 more times than not.

THIS GAME though? Is up there as one of our most balanced of the season. Love to see it.

This is enjoyable half time filler. Except for the one part of course. Beats re-running a four day old studio piece.

Checked in, expecting positives about a 45 point 1st half, harassing D, Heise, Chatfield, Jackson contributions, Milan 3's!

Multiple pages ******** about Gilbert.
The concern isn't about this game, but rather than making a deep run in March. When he's at his best, I truly believe Gilbert is our best player but if his struggles continue into March Madness it could doom us to an early exit.
