Karaban is better right now. Without question.
Kind of nice to see UConn still landing good basketball recruits with where there football program is, gives hope that worse case conference scenario for us we can still make waves in basketball at the elite level. Unless it's doomsday scenario from CW/Blum where the NCAA tourney is not the same.

Just saw on Twitter that Anthony Black had a new crystal ball pick for Gonzaga (forgot to copy it the link, and now can't find it).
How about this for a take, then?
I’d rather have a Wesley Johnson 2.0 than a poor man’s Georges, because at the very least…the raw athleticism for defense is going to be better.
Top notch defense seems to fit with T.J.’s vision.
It's not unreasonable to think that Watson could turn out to better than Karaban. Maybe the "absurdly pleased" got you the strong negative reaction, but, hey, no harm in being happy about the kids who are coming here.
I'm not saying it can't be done, and you never really know when looking at quotes in these types of articles. However, it seems like we have some catching up to do if he is a priority.
