Vanderbilt.
I might be wrong but I just have a feeling it is not ISU with how ISU has been going hard after some other prospects and with Jerry Meyer predicting him to Vanderbilt with a high confidence.

Michael Swain and Evan Flood put in crystal balls for Iowa State yesterday. Swain increased his confidence level this morning.

I heard it’s Vanderbilt do to the assistant coach from Minnesota
Safe to assume we are out of the running for Rylan Griffin if Watson picks Iowa State?
If Watson commits to ISU today, my guess is the staff will put the full court press on Griffin. That would result in a top 25 class.

Do they take another high school recruit (ex. Griffin, Green, Black) or do they back off and hold now waiting to see needs?

i think ISU will add eventually one more player but is in no rush and not till next year. I feel all 3 of the HS players mentioned aren’t close to announcing from my read and possibly 1-2 could hold off until the Spring. The staff will keep in contact after all they have already laid the groundwork and it is only 3 players.

The roster is pretty set so the staff can be patient and see what the roster looks like late and fill that spot late as they choose.

I don’t think it is a coincidence the 1st 2023 offers were announced to Hines an hour after the Watson commitment. The focus has changed to a big get next year.

I hope Griffen commits to us soon!
