Unfortunately, this is not just Chicago. It is pretty much any major market. We just hear about it most because of it being closest to us and we are in on recruits from that area. There are a lot of great AAU programs in the state of Illinois that don't have corruption or coaches trying to move up in coaching by using student athletes. I think the major thing that may be different from Chicago to other major markets where this is also a normalcy, is that the media knows about it and is not afraid to stir it up when they hear about it. The city of Chicago media coverage on Prep recruits is as solid of coverage as you will find, and with that big of a microscope, people are going to be able to point at stuff and say "that is wrong" "that shouldn't be happening". Problem is, coaches don't really care if they continue to coach, and the biggest AAU programs where this is happening, they have so many coaches now on so many age levels that you can't have the constant eye on these guys like you could back when they started. It is more about the AAU environment as a whole right now, it is glorified pickup games with everyone involved, including the coaches, trying to put on their best face for the programs in attendance.
But I digress.
