Short blurb from Bossi on Wilson from Friday's EYBL tourney. Prohm may have found his next under the radar guard who will be moving up the rankings.

MYLIK WILSON DESERVES HIGH-MAJOR OFFERS
"Make no mistake about it: Rivals150 scorer Mylik Wilson of Arkansas-based Woodz Elite has a nice list of offers. He told me that Houston, Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State, Louisiana Monroe, Tulane, Arkansas Little Rock and others have put scholarships on the table.
Watching his ability to get hot as a jump shooter, his ability to create for himself off the dribble and his quickness, I am surprised that he doesn't have any SEC or Big 12 type offers.
I'm not saying that Wilson is Louis Williams, but he has some Williams in his game as a rangy and explosive scorer. Wilson did say that he's been to LSU and that Arkansas is also involved. I would imagine that he earns a lot more attention in the next few months."

No mention of ISU though.

Prohm on next years priorities for 2019 from Alex Halsted interview. Currently he is thinking point guard, guard and wing. Possibly 4 Perimeter players if Lindell leaves.

That would put ISU at 4 bigs (SY, CL, MJ, and GC) for 2019, plus a big wing/PF type in Griffin. Seems like it might be a good idea to recruit another forward in the class. You can’t prepare for every scenario, but it seems like there’s a good chance that Conditt would be our only returning big in 2020. It would be nice to have a big in that 2019 class so we could have one with a year under his belt for when Jake and Solo graduate. JMO.

I’m suspicious that deep down Prohm just wants to get himself in a situation where he can play 5 guards:).

I don't get some of 247's rankings. They seem to value different things than Rivals. I wonder what they look for?

How is EJ Liddell ranked 83rd in the class of 2019 when he won Mr. Basketball over guys ranked 27th and 53rd in the class of 2018?
It's cause the people who get identified as a "5*" at a young age are essentially grandfathered into that ranking until they are seniors. It takes a lot for a player to fall out of a 5* ranking if they are ID as a high upside player young. Which hurts players like EJ, or like how it hurt THT last year. It is what it is, but I think Prohm knows how it works and knows the constant risers can be the best bang for your buck.

LOVE where all of those rankings are. If we have seen anything from Prohms HS recruiting, it is that he knows how to ID talent before it blows up. almost all of those players are just outside of that threshold, and in prime positions to keep moving up in the rankings.

IIRC Jerry Meyer has said that the Top 247 is a projection of expected careers. So they likely value potential more than others.
