I still think THT is going to/should move up more. Halsted explained Conditt moving down, "His grade really didn't change a ton. It went from 89 to 88. But the pool of players at 88 and 89 is a good chunk, so his national rank went down considerably."
Never seen this source before but they do a weekly player rankings for Chicago players (perhaps Zion's school doesn't qualify for what these rankings cover?). Anyways, they actually moved THT ahead of Ayo and have Conditt 4th.

Also, Conditt flirted with a triple double last night. Would of been the 3rd recruit to do so this week. Impressive versatility in Prohm's 2018 class.
Is Griffith not playing for a Chicago high school? Hard to believe he would have fallen out of the top five.
I can see THT and/or Griffith ending up with a 5* based on their play this season based on recent improvement. Can't imagine how many current high school players have the overall skills of THT. No sure how these rankings work, but Wigginton moved up to a 5* last year, though I think he started the season at a higher spot.
Hinsdale South is not in the Chicago Public School league. They are in the suburbs and play for the West Suburban Conference, IIRC.Griffin plays for Hinsdale South in Darien. Somebody can correct my if I'm wrong on this. but I don't think Hinsdale South is in the Chicago Public League like Simeon and Corliss are. I'm guessing this particular sites player rankings only factor in CPL schools.
I don't think either will end up a 5 star, but I do think THT's 247 ranking (currently #111) will end up closer to where he's at on rivals (#54). I'm not as certain Zion will rise all that much from where's at currently on 247 and rivals.
Rivial list ISU as one of 7 programs that have major impact players on the way next year... Adding in that ISU is still battling for Tyler Harris. The smoke on TH isn't going away.

#3 Iowa State
The Cyclones are not a bad ball club, but unfortunately someone has to finish toward the bottom of the Big 12, which is the best league in America. There is a lot to like about the future at Iowa State, including the current talent of former five-star guard Lindell Wigginton and Cameron Lard, who provides an interior presence.
However, what could really change the fortunes of the program is enrolling its signed 2018 class tomorrow. While it remains in a fierce battle for four-star guard Tyler Harris this winter, ISU has a group that will bring versatility, toughness and the potential to become one of the best groups in school history.
Talen Horton-Tucker is one of the top movers in the recently updated Rivals150, and the multidimensional wing is on the fringe of earning five-star status. Zion Griffen, Tyrese Haliburton and George Conditt will join the top 35 senior at ISU, creating a group that should bolster the Cyclones' chances for a return to the NCAA Tournament.
I find myself asking the same question whenever I hear us brought up with Tyler Harris. But, it seems like every outlet seems to be playing the same tune. Whether that be because they haven't gotten any new info, and are going off of previous info. Or they have heard something and continue to hear that we are in on him with other people showing interest as well.Do we think that article is actually factual when it says "in a fierce battle for Harris"? Yes, I get that he has waited to sign on somewhere, but we wouldn't know if we have an opening until at least end of March or so and/or if its just truly a battle of which other schools he wants to attend.
Believe he indicated in December the schools in the mix were Memphis, Xavier, Colorado State, Tennessee, and ISU... A couple other SEC schools are interested. I saw somewhere he might make an official visit to Tennessee but it doesn't seem like he's close to making a final decision any time soon. You would think he'd already be committed to Memphis if he wanted to go there.
If Tyler Harris told the Iowa State coaching staff he was ready to commit they would have made room for him at semester. There will be attrition after the year. Strange recruitment but the fact that we don't currently have an open scholarship truly is meaningless. If he wants to come to Iowa State we will have a spot for him.
We will have a spot if the coaches want him. He would probably already know this.
