Rocco passed Archer and Rosenfels and is now 8th all time in passing yards. Noel passed Deshaunte Jones for 3rd in all time receptions. He moved into 7th in career receiving yards, passing Jones and Tracy Henderson.
I was thinking about this tonight, the Top 5 since 2000 thread we all participated in, and the general consensus was mostly Purdy 1, Seneca 2, and Meyer 3. After that every had their own opinion (I personally put Sammy B at 5 due to his stats when he left).
At the rate he is going, Rocco is easily #2, and might even surpass Purdy (VERY unpopular opinion, but I think Rocco is more fun to watch than Purdy).
Take away the first half of the 2002 season, and the overall excitement he provided us in his two seasons, is Seneca really #2? Thinking about it tonight, I think I would actually put Meyer above Seneca.
Again, I know this will be a very unpopular opinion, and I know this will be dumbed into oblivion.
Perhaps I am overthinking stats and longevity too much, and not putting enough thought into overall impact on the program?
