Trying to find positives about that half. There weren't a ton, but it is our first game (albeit against a terrible team).
I really liked what Dubar and Walker have done in their time on the court. While I missed some of the early game, I also liked what I saw of Coleman-Lands.
Harris --- thought he brought good defensive intensity, while his height is somewhat prohibitive, he put a lot of pressure on the ball handler. As a team, we're allowing way too many back cuts, though.
I think things will gel a bit more the 2nd half and we should be able to win by double-digits. That's not a glowing recommendation by any means, since the team we're playing isn't good. But a win is a win, and hopefully they can figure some improvements/takeaways from it.

This is unacceptable. We have a team full of new guys and that fact they aren't looking like they've played together for 3 years is unacceptable. It's like they didn't have a full off-season of weights or coaching or playing or something. Again unacceptable. I think it's safe to say after 20 minutes everything sucks.

Somewhat bad luck that prohm's 2 best freshman played 3 seasons before nba career and Fred's two best 8 seasons before nba career. If Monte and Niang had nba prototype bodies they'd have been one of two year players like THT and TH.
Its hard to lose players that early if you aren't plugging in five stars every year.
Learning to shoot helps lots of games.
I also still don't have our defense yet. I know the score doesn't show it, but it's not for a lack of effort.
And they'll say because it's the first game of the season it's too early to tell even though this has pretty much been status quo for Prohm. Struggling with non-conference opponents at home is the new norm.
I think that’s accurate for most thin big men out of high school. It’s all based on projection. Saying that Foster will top out at 3 star performance is up to him. George Conditt is a prime example that big men take longer to develop.
