@ the half of Game 1:

Dubar looked better than Johnson in the 1st half. Johnson didn't look very polished on the offensive end -- might just be some rust.

Walker, Blackwell and Dubar all looked like they're pretty far along for freshman and have some size to guard multiple positions. I liked what saw from all of them and look forward to seeing Foster.

Rasir Bolton will not shoot 100% on dunks this year.

I counted 3 times early on that Harris' (lack of) height cost him. He got a shot deflected, gave up a rebound underneath and had a guy easily shoot over him close to the hoop. There's a trade off.

Good to see some shots falling after the early brick fest. But they were better when they moved the ball, especially inside out or found angles to drive.

It seems clear that Solomon and George won't be on the court together very much. I thought Conditt was useful on the defensive side, changing shots and grabbing boards.

Prohm has some talent. Prohm is basically a GMac reincarnation. This is on a coach 100%. I've said this before, Prohm can recruit and that's why he was successful at Murray. You can win with talent there, however, when you get into the big leagues you have to be able to recruit and coach. I want Prohm to win here because I think he wants to be here, but he cannot coach.

Conditt and Solomon look slow and not very athletic. Conditt's body hasn't really changed much. Still looks and plays weak. Might as well see what Foster can do.

Halftimes scores:

Wisconsin 53, UAPB 19

Marquette 50, UAPB 18

Iowa State 34, UAPB 37

Exactly. The comparison to Ohio State is laughable. UMASS-Lowelll has already beat San Francisco. UAPB is #353 out of #357 in Kenpom.

I know Bolton is pretty disliked on here but come on, you’re ready to say Walker in his like 5 mins he’s played in his career is better than Bolton who averaged 15 ppg last year (in a garbage year albeit but still)
Way to premature. We are 20 minutes into our first game against freaking UAPB. Let’s relax a little bit. Bolton is the most talented guard on the team right now.

To the armchair QB's who've already declared this team and its coach horrible, get a grip. Did you really think this team was going to start out hitting on all cylinders? With the injuries and the youth on this roster, it's gonna take a while before they start clicking.

I like the athleticism, the versatility, and the 3 point shooting of our freshmen. I think we could be pretty decent on the defensive end. Should be fun to see how much they get better as the season progresses.
