They tried their best to let us back in. 2 techs and very careless in the 2nd half. We were just punchless
Completely agree. They tried to give the game away and we didn’t take it.

They are as bad as Utah and UCF. Completely different level below WVU.

Ya start to wonder if TJ’s non-in-game coaching matters at this level. It’s not something this board openly talks about.

Does your leader need to be able to take control strategically in-game as opposed to just being a general manager, rah rah type?
I don't think it was the technical 3d chess coaching moves that mattered tonight. For whatever reason we were flat all game and didn't give a ****. Tonight was lack of effort. We were so slow, it was like the last game of the night at open gym and everyone just wanted to get home. They got the game down to a 4 point lead and then after that did everything possible to lose the game. To be fair to OkState they did a lot of things to try to lose the game as well but we didn't take advantage. Is that on TJ in a coaching way? maybe? I dunno...

Wasn't long ago, Jones was in the running for 6th Man of the Year, nationally.
Some went further. "Big 12 MVP."
Nope, to both

No scorching here. We have no reason to hold our team accountable to a top 10. We are the best we can be and I support that.

Sometimes they play like a top 6. Sometimes not so much. BB is also up & down.

We can all hope for a good run in March. We are right where we like to be, considering everything. Could be better. Could be a lot worse.

Can’t sugar coat that loss. OSU isn’t a good team and the crowd wasn’t a factor.

Tons of turnovers, chucking up 3s, lack of ball movement. Didn’t look like a top 25 team let alone top 10.

Pretty flat, uninspired effort - the opposite of what gets you far in March.
Im glad I chose to watch Seinfeld instead last night

Tonight marks the point in the season where I've officially given up hope of this being a special season. This team just doesn't quite have what last years had. They're still really good, but they are not special. I will be pleasantly satisfied if not surprised if this group makes it back to the Sweet 16
This is where I am at this point as well. I'm thinking Sweet 16 will be the top, if they can do even that. Maybe we have some fun in KC, we usually do. But ball not moved any closer to the end zone than where the program has been at the last two years, the unreachable goal is still a Final Four. Disappointing given all the weeks of Top 10, even Top 5 ratings. Pffft. But I'll still watch the games and root for them, obviously.

Blum said a few of our guys are getting double the money offers already this season. Guessing he’s one of them
And this will ruin it for so many. At some point, the Iowa States of the world can’t get by on “culture”. Money will talk and we just won’t be able to compete as well. Not there yet, but sure seems it will get there at some point.

It was kind of Iowa State to roll out the same version of themselves that KSU destroyed at Hilton. I thought maybe that version was a one off type game. That was just a putrid loss.

Same old story.

18 turnovers
Outscored 9-22 on fast break points

Those should be our opponents’ state lines. Not ours.

When teams turn us over and get into transition, it mitigates our strength in the half court defense.

Also shot 60% Free throws. They made 6 more FTs.

Bad loss. Only good thing is it's not tournament next week. Team has a little time to get healthier. Hopefully they can find their mojo again as in less TOs and better offense. Heise finally found his spot last night, shot well from corner
