I did forget “pay more NIL then” and “You must be a new fan, heh” in my list.

Born and raised in Ames and been a fan for decades, don’t need any lectures on how to be a Cyclone from some hick in Altoona.
lol. Because my user name says Altoonafish you think I’m from Altoona. As far as hick, hicks are probably our biggest donors.

You were born and raised in Ames. Do you still live there?

As far as lecturing, I’m mostly just giving advice. You’re life will be much happier when you don’t let a sports ball team ruin your night.

Yep....

That is helpful perspective, as I hadn't realized that. Honestly helps me process the crap I saw on the court tonight. Something systemic is taking place, and it's not just a "we need to go back to Ames and practice hard and watch film" type of answer.
It means we need less games in February and to skip leap year.

The guards are beat to hell, they got nothing left. We got a guy playing with a broken thumb.
Why are we the only fanbase that excuses our guys of being tired. Everyone plays the same amount of games. Houston plays just as hard as us. Are they out of gas? They're 20 year olds that strength & condition all year for 2 games a week. This I assure you should not be their issue

The difference in that case could come down to the intensity of practices.

In past years you could argue the cumulative effort on defense in games, but that's been taken a couple notches down this year

That team turned it over from forcing a dribble into three defenders on the last possession to give Auburn their last shot.

That's still what this team does.
I more mean the cohesive side of things. At that point in the season we felt like it didn’t matter the score, these guys would figure it out and we’d pull through. I don’t have that feeling anymore. What’s changed? Is it just a reality check that we just weren’t as good as we thought or something isn’t clicking as a unit with these guys anymore that was clicking when we were 17-1

Baaicslly things change in a season and there's some limitations on their athleticism.

Not sure if they'll put it together fully or not.

Everyone is tired, I’d attribute it more to motivation. Houston is playing for a regular season championship. ISU is in no man’s land right now.

is it worth ponying up for 7 turnovers, weak ball control, poor leadership, and poutiness from game to game?

Color me unconvinced

Edit** I’m sure the talent is there. Seems like a mental/leadership issue with Jeff

Why was ISU 6-2 in February last season?

It's interesting, Kelvin Sampson said the other day he really pulls back the practice workload as they near year end. I don't know if we do the same, I just don't know the answer. By definition I would think we do, because right now I'm not sure any of the three guards could practice anyway.

Blum has had a few tweets hinting at needing to pony up big time to keep Jefferson. I wouldn’t be surprised if we can’t pay what it takes to keep him.

He should give 100 bucks back every time he let's a defender knock the ball lose from behind when he posts up.
