I don’t care that other teams can win these types of games, even with injuries. We’re a last second tip in from being undefeated at full strength. If we get everyone healthy we’re good enough to make the final 4. If we don’t have everyone back we’ll get bounced 1st or 2nd round, regardless of seed.
I think this is kind of flawed thinking. You are not factually wrong, but at the same time Milan got hurt right at the end of the soft portion of our schedule. So idk. I don’t out much stock on the 17-1 or whatever while we had a full roster. Reality is that a really don’t know what this time is. I think we are good, but have doubts if we are great.

Maybe it will pay dividends later, but Jefferson playing point guard says a lot about the state of our guard play. Final four teams always have a floor general at the point.
This is probably the most surprising to me. I thought we had one of the best back courts in the country going into this year. We are best when turning teams over and getting out in transition. Houston we did that. Just don’t have the intensity/focus to start tonight and got in a hole and were forcing things the rest of the way.

Blum said a few of our guys are getting double the money offers already this season. Guessing he’s one of them
I can’t imagine anyone other than Jefferson getting double whatever ISU is paying them. Momcilovic must be the other.

From a 30,000 foot view, it seemed Ok State was double teaming/trapping Jefferson anytime he touched the ball, especially in the first half. Jefferson was slow to react, resulting in the ball being stolen many times. It’s not necessarily Jefferson’s fault; the offense needs to communicate when the double team is coming so Jefferson can make a decision on what to do before the double arrives

Just my armchair coaching. But I’d be curious to see how well the team is communicating with each other on the court
Houston was running a very similar point trap on D. Don't know what changed from Saturday to today, but it was like team never saw it before.

They handled very well in Houston

I think I’m in the majority, but I’m no longer sure how it’s an overreaction to say they may only win one the rest of the way. As for CW saying for ~two weeks they need a double bye, why? Play on Wednesday, I wouldn’t bet on them winning, there’s your rest. If they do win, there’s no way they’re winning two straight. So chances of playing past Thursday are low either way.

To me, tonight was showing up with 60% effort on defense and thinking Oklahoma State would just miss shots, allowing ISU to flex its offensive muscles for the first time in a week. splitting hairs, but to me that’s not technically as bad as guys quitting or fighting with teammates. But it can never happen in conference, no matter the opponent. I doubt they’ll beat Arizona, my gut says Love goes off. BYU who knows. I now think they may play one of their best games at Kansas State because KSU and OK St. took a sledgehammer to their pride, but, of course, it will be far too late for that game to matter. 3 seed at best, likely lose second round. Otz is on an above-average pace of Sweet Sixteens, bound for regression

Tonight marks the point in the season where I've officially given up hope of this being a special season. This team just doesn't quite have what last years had. They're still really good, but they are not special. I will be pleasantly satisfied if not surprised if this group makes it back to the Sweet 16

we're probably getting pretty favorable deals from Lipsey\Gilbert that they could have significantly increased if they had gone out on the open market.

Jefferson is absolutely getting the most offers I would think, and probably Milan like you said. Jefferson is not perfect and still needs to develop, but you don’t get a 4 with his passing skills, post moves, and ability to shoot the three at a respectable rate very often.
