It was huge. If he could've been that effective all game we likely winEnded up having a really good game, so that's definitely a positive that he stepped up big time after a rough start in this one.

They're very, very good. We are too. This Houston team could only beat us by 9 without our best two scorers, at home, while shooting almost 60% from three, and getting a gift from the refs at a critical point in the game? Color me unimpressed.
Didn’t you say earlier you couldn’t watch due to an obligation and asked how it was going?I said what I said. Zero doubt we beat them today with our regular starters. Hope we face them in the B12 tournament and hang another embarrassing loss on them.

Agree with all of this. One thing I will add is TJ not moving Tamin onto Cryer until the 2 minute mark. Cryer was torching us and TJ shoulda moved Tamin over to him 5 minutes previously. That could have caused others to go off, but Cryer was the one carrying them. What a terrific job overall. There were some things I absolutely did not agree with in the first half (playing Cade that much), but the experiment was short lived and was absolutely not the reason we lost. That was honestly due more to Houston hitting some extremely difficult shots. Cannot get too upset about that at all, I mean, step back 20+ foot shots are not high percentage and they had to have hit 80% of them down the stretch.
I'll also throw in there that the cylinder call was outrageous. That was such a horrible call and did change the momentum during that part of the game. God awful. They also got a few really ticky tack calls that were not good, however we didn't help ourselves with missing a front end of a 1 and 1 either. Regardless, fantastic job by that group.
Tamin played incredible. Milan was absolutely dominant in the second half. Heise played terrific. Chatfield stepped in perfectly for Jackson who had a frustrating day because of fouls. Jefferson did struggle but he did a lot of things that were needed to be where that game ended up being. Just an honestly solid basketball game to watch overall and I'm very proud of our guys.

It's a horrible rule that seems to help the ball handler that is either trapped or has picked up his dribble. It's rewarding a player that has made a mistake, and since when does it override a person throwing an elbow to the head? Critical call at a critical point in the game, ISU had momentum and that call took it away and gave Houston another opportunity to score.@brentblum would really love to get some stats on how many times a cylinder foul has been called recently and in general?
I tried to look it up, but it's hard to find. Which seems to suggest it's pretty rare. Sure seems like it.
Watch yourself @GTO, it appears the CF police are watching you pretty closely
I bet it is rarely called against the home team!@brentblum would really love to get some stats on how many times a cylinder foul has been called recently and in general?

For a "moral victory" to mean anything, I think there has to be an aspect of the play that created the opportunity for the upset that continues to future games. This is that aspect. I completely agree...the 0-7 first half MM has to be gone if ISU wants to make a deep tourney run. ISU needs him attacking the whole game.Is allowed to bring up anything not related to the cylinder call?
If so, 2nd half Milan is the Milan we need for rest of the season to reach our goals. That was the Milan TJ said they needed to “hunt” shots. Even when his shots weren’t falling he kept hunting and kept shooting.
That was most aggressive I have seen him play in his career.
Milan is the key player on the team, not the best, but when he is playing well, it opens up the floor for everyone else. When he struggles, ISU tends to struggle because we fall back into dribbling and not passing the ball. For a "moral victory" to mean anything, I think there has to be an aspect of the play that created the opportunity for the upset that continues to future games. They were also hitting some incredibly difficult shots all game. Hard to be upset about that too much really.ISU still pulled within 1 point AFTER the stupid cylinder violation. I would have liked to see ISU continue to pressure their guards and deny Cryer the ball. We relaxed too much defensively and Cryer, Uzan and Sharp made us pay. We also missed some FTs late and turned the ball over on offense. You can’t hang your head about the refs (not saying the players did that) when the game is still on the line.

He was hunting his shot in the first half they just weren't falling. He was very aggressive in the second which is great since in the past when his shots weren't falling he had the tendency to turtle up.For a "moral victory" to mean anything, I think there has to be an aspect of the play that created the opportunity for the upset that continues to future games.
