How brilliant of a coaching move is it to just take Brockington out of the game? Just blows up the entire Texas defensive game plan.

It made sense to sit him, especially after second foul, he wasn't able to do much anyway ... hopefully after Texas gets used to him being out he can enter in second half and be more effective.
