How well does Jones do any of those things?

JFC I'm not saying he does.

You have to figure out how many players are going to be able to be at their best at different positions to fit and this 'just play everyone as much as possible, but don't let anyone shoot or play' thing just can't go away.

I am really not all that bothered by this loss. Same with the Iowa loss. Two games that are really similar. Both teams shooting out of their minds, we are on the road, where the home team was amped up and we didn't have a good game. Missouri won't play this well again this season, just like Iowa. It wasn't a fun experience watching this game. The announcers, our below average play, Missouri shooting lights out from 3. Put in the rear view mirror.

This game is over, so sit the starters and rest them. We are short 2 starters
and we play Monday. As others have said this is not a conference game.

Don't care who you are but when you play a team who hits 14 3 points in a game (with time remaining), it's hard to win.

This team better hope Grill comes back healthy, or this could be an epic collapse in the second half of conference play. This team plays lost without him. They played lost when he was out a few games ago and repeated that same play today.
We can win a few in Hilton on pure emotion without him but if this team wants to compete for a Big 12 title(and right now we have the highest odds) then we absolutely need him back.

The offense is completely stagnant without his shooting threat and teams are draining 3s all over us without his perimeter defense. I'd say he's one of the most valuable players in the Big 12.

I know I'm being silly here, but maybe we we go without a big and just see if we can gain an advantage there? Otherwise, there aren't many options. Rob is trying hard in most of the situations, he just needs to figure out how to pass out of the block. For some unknown reason, he draws 2 even 3 guys a lot OR he dribbles into and occupies 2 or 3 guys, which means someone is WIDE open. If he could learn to pass out of the that, he could be useful. Until he figures that out, his O game is a detriment to the team.

AND I love BRE still. Just want him to fix a big issue.

The whole team is at their best when they play within themselves and that goes for Rob. I agree he's at his best if he just gets a touch, could kick it out and reposition for maybe a better quick look.

Today nobody looks good. Alabama is experiencing some things in Norman so I guess maybe it can just happen some days.

Just so everyone is clear. If grill is out Monday we are very likely losing. Just prepare for that now. Tech just beat LSU on the road and are gonna be confident. And wanting to get us back for a 30+ point loss in Ames.

I’m telling you cliffdwellers now so you can prepare.

How many times can the thought “Jones is terrible” run through my mind in a two hour span?

Unlimited it seems.

And the official makes a call they could have made 30 other times in the game to even things up. Cute.

You think that Robert Jones' footwork is better than Ward's. Even if it is, the guy badly misses his attempts the majority of the time. Are you watching a different person than the rest of us? Look, the guy gives good energy and I like him as a person, but he should not be seeing this many minutes a game. While Ward isn't some generational talent, I'll take him playing more minutes if it means Jones goes less.

Did I say that? Do you have evidence that Ward can be effective at the 5?
