Hm, I was thinking Cinci or someone played late afternoon.

That would have happened in past years when the first day of the Big 12 tournament only had two games. So those were at night and then 2 teams might have had to play early games. But now the format is 4, 4, 4, 2, 1.

I hope the Presidents can stay out of foul trouble. I think they were embarrassed about the rebounding difference in that game and have a whole new energy on the boards. But they can't affect the game sitting on the pine.

Probably stating the obvious, but feel like there will be a whole new game plan this round focused on limiting transition points for BYU.
Transition points is key. It was interesting to see in the game in Ames we took an early lead based on our defense, but didn't capitalize with a bigger lead because we couldn't shoot. We then stopped driving and settled for lots of jumpshots while they aggressively drove the lane and kept getting to the foul line. As we got into the second half, we more aggressively went to the hoop and were getting to the foul line. I would like to see whomever is guarded by Saunders to take it at him. He ended the game with 4 fouls, but those didn't come until the second half. Can't think Hall will come off the bench and hit 44% from 3 again. We were fortunate that Wagner didn't get going last time, and that Demin couldn't handle the pressure our guards put on him. A big need is also not letting Keita own us on the offensive glass.

Hall has gone off on us every time we've played BYU I think. He is the 2020s version of Keiton Page

Chatfield wasn't very effective in that game either. Early fouls.
Yeah, foul trouble neutralized one advantage ISU had over BYU - ISU's size vs. BYU's lean length. ISU ended up having to play a lot of smaller lineups so there was no advantage and actually resulted in being more BYU's length against a comparably sized(girth), shorter ISU lineup. So that probably accounted for half of the rebounding difference. The other half was probably effort and poor technique (e.g. blocking out).
