Obviously you haven't been watching. The kid is a freshman and has not experienced this big of a stage in his life. He's obviously overwhelmed and needs to let the more veteran guys take this.

You just can't bury yourself in the first half and expect to come back every game.

On one hand you can argue we were terrible at layups, but their uncharacteristic FT shooting kind of offsets that in a way.

Milan simply has to provide more on offense.

Disappointed with tonight, but we played well below average missing a ton of open looks right at the hoop, and Illinois needed all of that to win. Great season. It was so fun watching these guys play. Very proud of them!

IMO any NIL player receiving money should have some expectations. We had at least one starter tonight that clearly didn't perform.

Next year we go 3 guard lineup to start, some great players on the bench, and the JT Rock cook down low. Top 10 team

Even when we came out of it, we kind of never fully did. We panicked and took terrible shots, made lazy passes or the worst thing, missed point blank layups. Gilbert’s and Kings were just back breakers.

When they got it to two, they needed those buckets to kick it to a lead and just...I don't know what that was.

Give Illinios credit. Their length at all positions bother us. I wish we had been aggressively taking ball to basket in the first half. Seemed liked we passed up some good opportunities and fell behind.

Eh I really don’t think Illinois played that well truthfully. Early on yes but for almost 3/4 of that game I don’t think they did much that was anything crazy.
