'Roo it up! I've always wanted to see a game in Municipal; pretty cool, historic place.

Should be cool. Nice early-season treat for the KC sector of the fan base.

    Any chance that's the women?

I sure hope they didn't dump Drake/UNI to play road games against low majors.

That's my first thought as well.
I didn't like the one change. This game doesn't make much sense unless it's part of something bigger. I don't know what that something bigger could be, though.

Really? I'm all about playing neutral games, but to be playing a lowly Division 1 program right in their backyard is not what we should be doing. A game in KC against, say Arkansas would be OK, but not a school that I had to look up to see what the UMKC stood for.

This would be the equivalent of Minnesota coming down to Des Moines to play Grandview in Vets Auditorium.

If we were moving to the Summit League, I could get behind playing them at their place, because we'd have to.

I would be willing to bet it's our women. Bill promises all of our incoming freshman that he will give them a road game close to where they are from.
Emiah Bingley is from that area, and our women have played at UMKC before. I'd be shocked if this was our men.

ISU fans would still outnumber UMKC "fans" (if there is such a thing) 20 to 1.

I see it as a nice treat for alums and fans in a city where we have a bunch to come see their beloved Clones without having to make the hike up to Ames.

Maybe we could request enough tickets that it would force them to move it to the sprint center!

Against UMKC, on a Wednesday none the less, is not going to draw many. Its 4 days after the Big 4 Classic, so there wont be hardly any die-hard fans making this trip.

Would you go if you lived in the KC area? I sure as hell would, even if we were playing Rockhurst High at a playground.

Do you realize how many alumni live in that area?

Looks like they finished last in the Summit League last year at 4-14. They return 2 of their top 3 players, and they do have a Kirk Korver form Pella on the team.
