He and NN could both be on the court together, get plenty of minutes, and both have time at the point.

Not sure why we couldn't handle both.

High probability that we're restricted I think, but who knows.

Possible, though that could be dependent on how TJ left things with Washington. Usually the restriction list is limited to teams that are on the schedule in the upcoming 3 years. If coaches are more restrictive than that they get blasted by the media and negatively recruited against. (see: Bo Ryan - Uthoff, Anderson - Williams III)

That's one way to land a McD's AA. Thought about going pro, so will likely play only one year but we've done pretty well with one-year players. OK also recruited him so I wonder if they after him again.

He would be an attractive target, but I don't like more than NN.

I don't think it's even close between him and NN. Nigel was a McD's AA and led the conference in assists as a frosh. If Monte leaves after next season, I can't think of another available player out there who would be much better. Great size as well at 6'3".

There is more of a chance of me seeing minutes next year for Iowa State than this guy, as I am currently enrolled at the school. He would have to sit out a year no doubt.

Imagine the sweet irony if we get him. Our chances for one McD AA were tanked because an assitant coach left, then we land another McD AA thanks to the replacement assistant coach. That would be some nice salve for our wounds!

Nice Find. Though I don't care for the fact he originally committed to UNLV to play for Lon Kruger, prior to Lon leaving for the OU job though he didn't get him to come to Norman origially is curious. Obviously though working with TJ for the past two years should more than make up for a past relationship that occured 3+ years ago.

This seems like a very odd transfer to me.
He'll have to sit out a year and will then be a RS Junior. Draft Express already has him as a second round pick next year.
Why waste a year sitting out when you could potentially go to the NBA next year?

I'm all for it if he lands at ISU because I do think he's a huge talent. Just feels like sitting out a year is a huge waste.

My guess is he wants to end his college career as a winner. Or believes he can make more money in the NBA with better college coaching.

I like how Blum came in here and dropped some knowledge on us all. Knowledge that we already knew.

Thanks Brent... You're the best.
