Ok, administration, please cash in on T-Pain's success. It pry wouldn't hurt recruiting.

Just thought people might want to see this video (those who haven't.) It's interesting, I do think the Soulja Boy song is stupid as crap, but w/e...

I am still shocked the U keeps playing that song. Not that I have anything personally against it, it is on my ipod, but still shocking.

Isn't this just from pre game warmups? It doesn't look like anyone is there yet... I don't think its that big of a deal....

I don't think it is a big deal either, I am just schocked that the U plays that over the PA system. The uppity types would freak at JTS if this was ever played.

They used to play some pretty bad songs during BP for baseball games too, alot of times it was the unedited version too...

UT Longhorns Cranking that Soulja Boy - CollegeHumor video

If the administration really knew what superman meant...They would be PISSED. I cannot believe colleges play that song.

Well now I really feel dumb...I let my 6th graders pick a song every Monday while we work on our assignment...I take the kids that got a perfect score on their tests from the previous week and draw a name out...last week the picked Crank That and swore that there was nothing bad in it. I played it and didn't hear anything that bad until the principal walked in and it said "ho". Needless to say, they won't be picking the songs again if I haven't heard them. They have been getting really sick of Toto's epic song, "Africa" since last week. I would have only played it once but they made a big stink about it. :biglaugh:

Come on, it still doesn't hold a candle to "Aww skeet skeet skeet etc." I can't believe they played that on the radio.

How can they not like Africa? I would suggest maybe some Outfield or Men At Work then...

I know I heard them play this song during warmups during one of the games. With our sound system you really couldn't hear it. Although, I really don't think we will cash in on this song. I think its best as a warm up song. Can't see the stadium dancing to it specially the older sections.

Plus I don't think music will do much for recruiting. Maybe winning and attendance.

I am with you on that, I am all for playing "Cyclone" at our games...I've already heard it being played in other stadiums in college football and the pros (SD Chargers played it.) I mean, it's the name of our team we need to be playing this song.

I know some older folks at the games don't want to hear rap or hip-hop or metal, but it's today's music...I am all fine with throwing Neil Diamond in there later too, but it's all about the age group of the kids playing today 18-22 (which is a range I am barely still in.) I will still be going to Cyclone games when I am much, much older and I hope they play w/e style the kids are into then and I wouldn't complain one bit (as long as they aren't somehow into Menudo.)

bahahaha, that's really funny because my "Morning Challenge song" (a song they have to guess the name of when they come into class in the morning so they aren't up screwing around) on Tuesday was "Land Down Under" :biglaugh:

I am an old fart, I would LOVE to hear hip-hop at a game!

I think that the real U does it better with the duck thing, speaking of which, how does this relate to the Hurricanes, just like Cyclones and a bird:
