Since it's been established that it's weak on new releases lets try a suggestion thread.

Recently I watched the first few seasons of Weeds. I enjoyed the show.

I don't know if Dexter is streamed but I would highly recommend getting yourself addicted to that.

There's a ton of documentaries that are really good. Here's a few:

Deep Water
Exit Through the Gift Shop
The Cove
2012: Science or Superstition
Beer Wars
The King of Kong
Deliver Us from Evil

Non-documentary:
(these two are in Swedish with English subtitles but really good especially for 'based on book' movies. I have a feeling they will end up being a ton better than the Hollywood versions)
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl Who Played with Fire

That's all I can think of for non-documentary since we mostly watch kids movies in that area.

I've been enjoying "Arrested Development".

All of Battlestar Galactica is on there. All of Lost. Lots of tv shows.

Party Down is a Starz show that showed up on our suggestions. It's crass, but hilarious. We also kind of liked Better Off Ted. Not sure how many are instant anymore, but we watched Seasons 1-5 of Lost on Netflix streaming last year. As someone else mentioned, Dexter is a good one to pick up if you don't already watch. At one point, Californication was on instant--I watched a few episodes of that and liked it, but my husband didn't so we didn't watch it anymore. Also, Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles was pretty good.

One movie that pleasently surprised me was Cashback. There is a fair bit of nudity, but I enjoyed the story quite a bit.

There are a number of good documentaries,

Cropsey
Lord Save us from Your Followers
Capitalism a love story was interesting

Cashback was a fantastic movie. Slow to start, but the story really hooks you. The nudity is an added bonus.

Something must be wrong with me. I couldn't get through the first episope of Dexter. Maybe I'll try again.

The first thing I streamed on Netflix was the first few seasons of Weeds. Good show and the main chick is the freaking hottest MILF ever.

Exit Through The Gift Shop - Great doc about graffiti at first, but then changes.
I'm Still Here - Joaquin Phoenix doc. Very bizarre.

Where I find Netflix streaming most valuable is documentaries. There is a lot of content from History Channel, Discovery Channel, PBS (Frontline, NOVA, etc.).

I recently watched a great documentary called "Restrepo" which follows a small group of our troops in Afghanistan during a 15 month deployment.

Their streaming selection of movies is poor but I must say I have watched a lot of documentaries I would have otherwise probably never seen and it adequately fills the gaps between DVD deliveries for me.

Yeah I usually recommend this movie for guys who get forced watching chick flicks that really aren't entertaining. I think both parties in a relationship will enjoy this movie, and if not guys their are some great nude shots to make it worth while anyways.

If you watch too many episodes without much of a break she will begin to annoy you. Kevin Nealon rocks on this show.
