I'm a big Dexter fan but I think Breaking Bad is better.

I've seen the first season of Dexter and am currently working my way through Breaking Bad, and they are both awesome shows. I would agree though, I really like Breaking Bad. I hear the show keeps getting better too. Can't wait to get caught up all the way.

The TV Series Doc Martin and the series A touch of Frost are excellent. The two movies mentioned starting with the Girl with a Dragon Tatoo are good but a little graphic. "Wired in Blood" is a also very graphic. Their are some excellent foreign films one being "AS it is in Heaven" and the "Red Cliff" two movies are good. For little kids they like "The land before time" series.
I have been using a Roku box and it is wireless or wired and does a great job of streaming movies better than any of the three DVD players I try using. I do think Netflix is having trouble steaming movies at peak times or Mediacom cable slows down at eight at night or both are having problems.

Definitely:

Documentaries:

Beer Wars
SuperSize Me
When You're Strange
Man on Wire
It Might Get Loud
When We Left Earth Series

Not Documentaries:

Let the Right One In
Law Abiding Citizen
The Fountain
Best in Show
Moon - This one was really different but I enjoyed it.

There are a ton of movies that they have recently added to streaming that are really good.

Off the top of my head, I've got these gems in my instant queue...
MST3K by the dozens...
The Babysitters is pretty hot...
The Gumby Movie
All the X-Files plus both movies
The Fearless Freaks (Flaming Lips semi-doc)
The Spectacular Spider Man (series)
Holy Rollers
A Town Called Panic
Friday the 13th (I-VIII)
Star Trek (I-VI? sans II :( )

Though it might not be the most popular genre with this crowd, there are TONS of great anime streaming instantly through NetFlix...
Ninja Scroll
Samurai 7
Blassreiter
Full Metal Alchemist
Voltron
Afro Samurai
Queen's Blade
Golgo 13
Witchblade
etc, etc, etc....

The best resource for Netflix instant watch content that I've found is Instantwatcher.

They provide the ability to sort the movies so much better than the Netflix home site (by experation date, MPAA Rating, Date of Release, Etc) does and also provide what I consider to be their most compelling feature...a list of what has been added to watch instantly each day.

Human Centipede anyone?
also one day I set out to find the worst movie on Netflix streaming and settled on Nazi Surfers must Die!

Hahaah... When Human Centipede originally came out an office buddy told us the whole plot from the trailer he saw and I couldn't resist when it became available on netflix. Awful movie... Right up there with zombie strippers.

Nonsense. Everyone should watch that movie since I had to.

I'd echo alot of what has already been said:

Weeds is freakin' great. Watched about 4 seasons in a week-- got totally hooked. I also agreed that Kevin Nealon and Uncle Andy are hilarious and Nancy is very good looking.

Exit Through the Gift Shop was good.

When You're Strange was also very good.

Dexter is definitely great. To the poster that said they couldn't get beyond the pilot, just keep pushing through. The first couple of seasons the first few episodes are pretty slow but really ramp up the pace by the end.

I just added Spartacus Blood and Sand and they're also streaming Gods of the Arena as well.

Moon starring Sam Rockwell was a really well done science fiction movie and I'd highly recommend it.

We just watched The Parking Lot Movie this weekend while looking for random documentaries and found it surprisingly enjoyable. Just over an hour long, it follows a bunch of mostly 20-somethings who work at a small parking lot in Charlottesville, VA, and basically shows how they handle the crap they have to deal with from well-to-do college kids parking their huge SUVs then arguing about paying $1.40 on their way out, among other things.

Bonus: The bass player from Yo La Tengo apparently worked there.
