Need some open-minded advise

Die hard ISU fans, please stop reading. I need some open-minded advise. I have a friend who had a husband who was a die-hard Kansas State fan. He died, unfortunately, and left her with a bunch of KSU stuff. She would like to get rid of it. She says it is taking up space, but I also suspect there are some memories involved that she would like to get past.

Anyway, she has offered me a really good price to take it off of her hands, and I would like some advise on how to sell it to get the most out of it. I have not seen the stuff for myself yet, but from what she has told me, I am getting a really good deal. There is a leather jacket, and some kind of miniature stadium (don't know big), and other stuff. Again, no remarks like "burn it, it's K-State", etc.

I have thought about putting it up on ebay or Craig's List. If I used Craig's list I likely would likely have to put up an ad for the Manhattan area or so, as I live deep in Husker country. I have also thought about an ad on a KSU board like this one, but I don't know what KSU message boards are the most popular.

Strange but honest answer: There's a doctor in Tecumseh, NE who is a huge KSU fan. He hangs a KSU flag outside of his office all year round, right on the town square.

Don't know where you go from there. Calling him out of the blue "just might" be a little creepy. At the least, there are legitimate KSU fans living in Husker country.

Honestly, why are you bothering with this. You haven't seen it and she tells you you're getting a really good deal.... Are you the local pawn broker? Just say no thanks and let her donate it or do whatever she wants with it.

K State had a great season, stuff would sell well. You could call a sports memoribilia shop in Manhatten and ask, or do Ebay. If you want a nice tax write off, get a good value on it, and donate it to K State and take the deduction.

Honestly, if you do not know how you are going to sell it and have no idea what it is worth, why are you messing with it.

Off the wall idea. You and your friend do a road trip out to Vegas and try to see if you can get on Pawn Stars. Create some memories worth more then the money you would get trying to resell the stuff....

OK, I got the stuff, and most of it isn't as good as she thought it was. But, I did get a K-State real leather jacket, size L. I did some searches for "kansas state leather jacket" and wasn't able to find much, other than one place wanting $250 for a medium. Anyone have any idea what this thing would be worth?

Why is she selling all of this stuff to a ISU fan when she's claiming these items have meaning to her? I guess I just don't understand why she didn't use craigslist or ebay herself?

I am pretty sure there are K-State fans out there... I would Craiglist, E-Bay it, take it to a memorabilia collector lots of approaches on this. You could make a few "k" and then celebrate it with a party.... Make sure you make a sign that says "Compliments to K State"
