Personally I like the focus on results for the current year. It’s how you make people stop ducking (sometimes) and make duals matter more as well.
Do you have a link to an interactive bracket?Has anybody seen any interactive brackets posted yet?
Haven't seen it yet. Usually it's posted on the PSU or Iowa boards, right?Do you have a link to an interactive bracket?

Well it’s clearly broken and stupid. There has to be a happy medium. Theres going to duck city going on next year in duals. They have started to put a lot more emphasis on the qualifying tournament. The top end wrestlers and their coaches forced this to happen. All the defaulting out of qualifying tournaments and not getting getting a loss against them and still getting their great seed has lead us to this other extreme.
I don't remember all the top end wrestlers that defaulted out of qualifying tournaments and no one never how healthy they were.Well it’s clearly broken and stupid. There has to be a happy medium. Theres going to duck city going on next year in duals.
I just think for people like me who can't usually make it to Big 12s or NCAA's, when I go to Ames, I want to see their top guys vs our top guys (which obviously I'm not worried about how Dresser runs things with ducking). I don't think I'm alone in that. If you want to grow the sport, you incentivize the whole season, not just that piece or this piece. You have to look at it wholistically.I don't remember all the top end wrestlers that defaulted out of qualifying tournaments and no one never how healthy they were.
Nolf was one. Didn't Cstar last year and got the 8 seed? PSU has had a few, but they also have more of the top end talent.
I totally agree. I spend several hundred dollars per year between tickets and Johnny's Club passes and would like duals to be more important than the football spring game, which has gone the way of the dodo bird. Duals have to count for more than they currently do, but how?I just think for people like me who can't usually make it to Big 12s or NCAA's, when I go to Ames, I want to see their top guys vs our top guys (which obviously I'm not worried about how Dresser runs things with ducking). I' m going to move this here form the Non ISU twitter thread : looks like a strong possibility he will be pulled from the bracket and alternate inserted - will they redraw it ?
Would that help or hurt MJ ?Wouldn’t they just add in the alternate and bump everyone seeded behind Brennan up 1 spot?
I think Lorenzo Norman at 174 could be a potential landmine for O'Toole. I still expect O'Toole to win, but Norman is toughRandom non-ISU bracket thoughts:
141 - Happel should be loving his draw. Has to go through Latona 2nd round, but got the most favorable quarters match
149 - D'Emilio scares me a bit for Paniro 2nd round. My pick is Henson to defend his title but he is going to WORK for it (Teage Travis, Jaden Abas, Jordan Williams, Paniro/Parco, Van Ness/Lovett). Lovett got the best draw to the semi's in that bracket by a mile.
157 - Teemer & Shapiro 2nd round. My pick is Shapiro, but I hope Teemer shows up. If he does grab your popcorn early.
165 - Garvin & Gallagher 1st round. Best 1st round matchup of tourney?
174 - O'toole's OT victory in B12 finals greatly benefits him, as it should. He deserved it. He now walks into the finals to face winner of Hamiti/Haines
184 - McEnnely & Keckeisen semi should be fireworks. Both very good on their feet, but McEnnely seemed to gas and took an errant shot in OT of B10 finals against CStar. I think gameplan for Keck is to bring him to deep water, like always.
197 - Someone said it earlier but Buchannon cost himself the 1 seed at B10's and now has to go through Ferrari in semi's. This will be his biggest test to see if Ferrari is still in 2021 form.
285 - If Keuter can get past Feldman in the 2nd round again he has the best draw he could ask for.
If Keuter gets by HerreraRandom non-ISU bracket thoughts:

Would have no effect on MJ I don’t believe.Would that help or hurt MJ ?
Why does prioritizing current year results lead to more ducking? It seems like the opposite to me.Well it’s clearly broken and stupid. There has to be a happy medium. Theres going to duck city going on next year in duals.
