Hey!! We can't all be the brightest!

Haha I am just giving you a hard time. The Cubs used to be my second favorite team until I went to college in Illinois. Everyone on my team was a Cubs fan and they all lived in a dream world. I couldn't believe the arrogance they had, especially coming from a team who hasn't won in over a 100 years

I hate the Yankees and their annual pursuit to destroy baseball by purchasing championships and Steroids.

How Many admitted Steroid users do/did they have on the payroll?

Roger Clemens, A-Rod, Andy Petite, & Jason Giambi

Looks like a trend to me....anything and everything possible to win is the Yankees motto. Cheat, lie, steal, corrupt, manipulate, & destroy. The world would be a better place without them.

HHMMM, let's check other teams in baseball, the Yankees just happen to have the most media surrounding them, so naturally nothing is kept under wraps. Giambi, Clemens, and A-Rod all were on steroids before they came to the Yankees, so maybe we should blame other teams as well!!!!

I'd like to pretend that the Cubs managed to be steroid-free, but there's no way that's even possible. That's sad.

But the Twins were able to sustain some success, whereas the Marlins sink all the way to the bottom of the league. More dramatic ups and downs.

The Marlins aren't as bad as you think, going back to 2003, they've only had 2 losing seasons, alot of teams would give their right arm for the overall success that Florida has had.

2008: 84-77; 7.5 games out
2007: 71-91; 20 games out
2006: 78-84; 19 games out
2005: 83-79; 7 games out
2004: 83-79; 13 games out
2003: 91-71; 10 games out

IMO, what hurts the Marlins and their image nationwide is their fan base or lack there of. My God, did you see the Opening Day highlights from Dolphin Stadium?

Houston's attendance was also pretty bad last night. I was stunned to see a lot of people that looked just like empty seats.

Touche.

I don't think the fans ever came back from the first fire-sale.

To paraphrase a thread from yesterday, "Why are my inconsistent points being picked on?"

Good point. They've done a really nice job developing talent. I would really like to see what would happen if they kept a team together for the long haul. Then again, I don't know if they can afford to do that with the horrible attendance that they have.

LOL. Of course the weather in South Florida isn't the best for baseball when it rains nearly every day. Ground was just broken for the new Marlins park, not sure if it will have a retractable roof or not. One would think a retractable roof would be a must if the Marlins want to grow their fanbase.

How could you not say the Yankees....they are ruining the sport of baseball. If they don't win the WS this year, it should be the biggest failure ever in the history of the game.

I'd argue greedy players are ruining baseball. The Yankees are willing to pay them. No one else is.

If you're referring to the White Sox its because the "he gone" crap is the most annoying thing I've ever heard!

Ding ding ding!

It all stems back to them. They're horrible and I can't wait until they choke after blowing half a billion.

You guys realize that a lot of Sox fans aren't Hawk fans, right?

I'm guessing it's all cause of AJ, Ozzie and Hawk....

I wouldn't say it would be the biggest failure. People fail to realize that their payroll went down by over 10 million since the start of last season.

How are they ruining baseball? Attendance is up. Since 2000 only 1 team has won multiple world series titles and it wasn't the yankees.

Yankee haters should be encouraging the spending sprees because it hasn't helped the Yanks win a title.
