I forgot that Royce had the flu that day. The disappointment clouded my judgment there, but that game really seems like what we should expect without the big man against a hungry and decent team.

It is an interesting study in team psychology.

Suppose you have a good team at a small school. Are you doing them any good scheduling them to a probable 0-14 record (I believe they played every non con game on the road). If the team is built with the right personalities, it's possible they could be determined to take their lumps for the athletic department and rally around their conference play. That's what MVSU has done.

But it's possible they could get ground down to the point of extreme fragility as well.

Pretty sure that those types of teams have no choice to play road games based on their budgets.

Well how about a rematch. Win their play in game then knock off Kentucky. Then we get them again with Royce healthy. That's what my 9 year old is pulling for.

Why? They play in arguably the worst conference in the nation and only won 1 game in the non-con.
