He's a Stoops.. this will get buzz, people know him. IMO

I'm not trying to be negative, but that class is from 2005. Take a look at his current 2009 list. Not overly impressive. If he's on the way up, I would think his recruiting would be, too!

It's a smoke screen 'clones!

He's known as the far less talented Stoops.

I really don't think it's him and think a lot of us are pissed for no reason. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think JP would not settle for him.

He's done nothing at Arizona with good recruits. What will he do here in a tougher conference and a much tougher recruiting destination?

Nothing with "less" then good recruits?

In the five years preceding Stoops at AU, they won 22 games. In the five years of the Stoops era, they have won 24.

In the five years preceding Chizik, ISU won 27 games and we still fired McCarney. It's the trend you have to look at. Arizona was on the downward trend before Stoops started in 2004. Does this look familiar?

1999 Arizona 6-6
2000 Arizona 5-6
2001 Arizona 5-6
2002 Arizona 4-8
2003 Arizona 2-10

I don't follow...I'm I made a typo, but I still don't see it.

If he can't win with good recruits at Arizona then he isn't going to win with lesser recruits at Iowa State. I am just stating that Mike Stoops is a loser and probably isn't even Bob Stoops real brother. He is the mailman's kid.

If Mike Stoops/Long/Elliot are hired I am turning in my season tickets and can only hope for their failure. If you want to torpedo a program fast then hire this bunch of jokers that are completely unproven. Good god!!!

So do you actually think McFarland or Loney are that bad, they are 10X better than this crap.

I think a lot of people are reacting on instincts and first impressions. Take a look at the numbers and some of the logical arguments being displayed and you might not be as depressed.

That was my point, but I obviously made it poorly and have learned that I'm not good at typing.

Consider that it was M. Stoops' first HC job. I'm guessing he's learned a few lessons. He's familiar with BigXII country and Iowa. He's recently been out on the recruiting trail. He has a staff in place and can hire replacements for those ACs he's not crazy about.

We should look more at his record this year than previouis years.

Plus, brother Bob might toss a few "look at this kid" suggestions his way.

I see positives.
