Re: Not traveling to OSU??

Somewhere, in an alternate reality Cf, someone is posting a scoop with good news.

Re: Not traveling to OSU??

He's been through 3 coaches in 3 years. I'm sure that's not easy. But any failure to adjust is still on him, I suppose.

Yea he's actually got a coach who is making him rebound and be tougher. Guess we still haven't heard the truth as to if he's going or not. If he isn't at the game then it's either gong to be a huge wake up call and he will come out a changed and better player or he will be sitting on bench watching his senior year melt away

Re: Not traveling to OSU??

Well after doing some texting, I'm now 99% sure he didn't travel because he refused to practice yesterday and Prohm told him to stay home. Sorry for the earlier message saying he just didn't want to go.

Get back to me when you're 99.99% sure.

McKay was flying the plane.

Tall guys make excellent pilots.

Re: Not traveling to OSU??

I think it's just that Prohm gets on the guys more than Hoiberg does. That, and I don't think he babies them much.

Yep. Fred had a way of somehow holding a bunch off diff guys together mainly because they respected his nba pedigree but Prohm is now actually trying to get them to toughen up, play defense, and rebound..you know those key things that get u far in the tourney. McKay was playing pretty well first 1/3 of season then he gradually got worse.

Can u imagine some of these guys playing for Izzo? Wouldn't last a week.

If coach doesn't bring you to an away game youre pretty much done for the year. Unless it's a situation similar to cooke.

That's too bad that he wants to throw away his Sr season and what could be a special season just because he can't handle a little coaching. It isn't like Prohm gets on them during games

Coaching has a lot to do with relationships too. Care about the person first and foremost, then work on the athlete.
An example of this is how Roy Williams makes it a point to schedule a game in the home state of his blue chip recruits. Or, how Coach Campbell held family meals with position groups at Toledo. Hopefully, that continues. Then, look at Fred, helped support Royce, held community meeting with BDJ's neighbors.

Person first, athlete second.
