Man, I hate hearing that. But if he's as good as his AAU coach says he is, and obviously we want him, why should I be surprised that we have to compete with now another top program for the guy. Gosh, I think he would fit here best and we'd be as good for him as well. A little biased, huh? Niang, Nader, McKay, Hogue, and Clark for the 3,4,& 5 spots. 5 guys that can score and/or rebound for those three spots. That makes me giddy.

Maybe he is worried about playing time - since we have those other guys. Obviously we would love to have him but we do have a lot of guys competing for those spots.

A lot of upper classmen. He's not a one and done. He may have to wait until his sophomore or junior year until he plays 40 minutes. Golly gee that'd be terrible.

We need another post this season and next year we lose Ejim. There are a lot of post minutes are up for grabs, and that first semester we add only Nader who is smaller than Clark. A recruit of Clark's level will have a very good chance to get a lot of early playing time.

Times have changed. We couldn't have said this a couple of years ago, but our program is as good or better than any of these right now.

Unranked Indiana
#15 Iowa State
Unranked Kansas State
#18 Michigan State
Unranked Seton Hall

We have the chance to be a consistent top 10 team every year with Fred as our coach.

Is Marvin at the MSU game today? If so, I hope he enjoys watching MSU lose.

Just remember, I seem to recall a certain team losing an ugly game against Illinois early in the season during one of our recruits visits and it didn't seem to help us very much in the end...

Boy, who would have thought MSU loses to Illinois today and scores in the 40's. No way of knowing what the outcome does with respect to any recruit's decision. Probably has no effect. Like the fact that it was a low scoring game, but then again you can bet he will be filled with superlatives on just how much they need his shooting/scoring. Hoping we have just as good a shot as anyone.

Am I to guess you're saying that because you thought we could maybe win out over the other four, but you think we get "Izzo-ed" on this?
I was worried about an MSU offer months ago based on something I read back then. I won't pretend to know what a recruit is thinking but back then it sounded like he really wanted an MSU offer.
