It's easier than ISU's and ISU is one game back, so.... your point?

My point is whiny ISU fans have already crowned KU's *** weeks ago and will go to any desperate transitive length possible to show that ISU has no chance just so they can be whiny *******.

So does that mean that KU is going to lose at TT because ISU lost there?

Transitive forecasting is such a "fun" thing...
They are a game ahead of us with an easier schedule. It's not impossible but highly unprobable
We need WVU to show up and beat them at home and a loss at home for them would help as well.

Kansas has four road games left (one against the 10th place team). Iowa State has five. That alone is a big difference in this conference.

But one of our five is against TCU on the road. If you are a contender that game shouldn't matter home or away. You just have to get the W.

Forgive me if that doesn't mean jack **** to me.

How many Iowa State games have you watched?

ISU has won 20 in a row at Hilton. Kansas has lost nine times at the Phog in 10 years. Meanwhile ISU is 1-3 on the road in Big 12 play this year after going 3-6 last year, and Kansas is 3-2 on the road and seemingly unbeatable at home in Big 12 play.

If you are just going to willfully ignore the huge difference that home/away has not just in general, but on Kansas and Iowa State specially, then you're being just as pigheaded as the people you're criticizing. Open your eyes and face the facts - road games are bad, home games are good, and we're at a disadvantage because we have more of the former and less of the latter.

We're the only team with any shot, so we should embrace that.
The TT loss obviously hurts, since we'd be tied otherwise, but we ended the week right where we began, one game behind Kansas, but with the benefit of WVU going down again. Not a bad week.

We have a much tougher row to hoe. If KU loses another game I'd be surprised. If we lost at least 2 more I won't be surprised. Would be nice to have the tech game back...

oh my god you can't be serious. they lose at a decent but not great OSU team today and you think they win at Oklahoma and West Virginia?! I'll take that bet.

Wouldn't be a great win (or a horrible loss for that matter) without a bunch of Cyclone fans bickering. Let's just enjoy a huge win and the fact that OSU winning does help us - at least gives us some hope.

This. We're not a bad road team, or we couldn't pull off the win @ WVU.
TT wasn't a road problem. That was a failure to respect problem. Winning at Baylor is darn near impossible, but we almost did it.
Winning @ Kansas is the closest thing to impossible that college basketball has.

We're not struggling on the road. That won't be an obstacle that rules us out from contention.

the win against WVU is looking more and more unimpressive.

Monday night would go a long way toward showing that. Oklahoma is probably the 3rd best team in the conference, and if we win there, we show that we can compete on the road.
