I'm pretty excited about the increase in Cyclone coverage that this will provide Eastern/Western ISU fans.
That’s his opinion and a wrong one. Kirk knows he has to win Cy-Hawk for in state recruitment. Watch the play calling and execution by the team in the ISU game vs the rest of the season. Night and day difference.
I’m pretty sure Kirk has gone on the record saying ISU is a game they put more emphasis on. I want to say that was 3-4 years ago. Someone might find the direct quote somewhere. Someone should tweet it at Trent though he’ll ignore it since it goes against his narrative.
Since about mid June it’s been about 50-50, if that. I mostly have to listen by pod and since it’s hit and miss I’ve actually moved on to other shows. Sent two DMs with no response inquiring what was going on. So they lost a listener.

Heather and Sean have a hard time filling 3 hours with content and now they have an extra hour to fill? Ungh, already find myself changing the channel from their show a lot lately, unless they change some things up and get some more guests it's going to be rough to listen too I fear.

As a resident of eastern Iowa, that's just 100% not true at all.

ISU's maybe #3 at worst in Sioux City. Sure as **** aren't #5.
As others have mentioned and alluded to, The Drive is terrible and they can't even fill 3 hours with solid content, I'm not sure how they think they're going to fill 4 hours each and every day and generate decent ratings.
So I guess the references from the current on-air talent about how there were options in the works for replacing M&A fell through. They must have been scrambling to figure out how to re-work the lineup. iHeart probably told them they couldn't hire replacements, or maybe they just couldn't pay enough to bring in anyone worthwhile.

My guess his #2 is UNI and you can pretty much lump them in with Hawk fans anyways. Anyone know a UNI fan that prefers ISU over Iowa because I'm not sure I have ever met one.
Maybe some WI fans in far NE Iowa? But we have a big enough alumni base in CR I’d be surprised if we were worst than #2.
And yes, at worst we’re 3rd in SC behind Nebraska. Does he think SDSU has a big following? Did he get it mixed up with Sioux Falls?
