KU with 5 new helmets

YES another KU thread. YES another uniform thread. Welcome to summer, people.

We're falling behind in the helmet craze. Even one more alternate would be nice. I understand needing to establish an identity, but recruits eat this stuff up - plus it gives us something to talk about.

I like the powder blue helmet, but I don't associate Carolina blue with KU, same with the red one. The blue, black and white ones are nice.

I actually think their helmet with just KU is pretty decent. I agree, we need some alternates.

I assume the powder blue is there for a throwback game. I'm not a big fan of the red with their logo, but if they combine it with white jerseys maybe it'll work.

I think you can let them have their alternate helmets because, when they are losing they might as well be doing it in style.

I dig the flat black ones. I would not advocate for ISU to do matte black, but in general I really like the look of matte helmets.

Pretty dumb if you ask me. Personally, I'm all for sticking with what we have if it means we would simply put our logo on different colored helmets. I know for one though, when I think of Kansas Jayhawks, I certainly think of the color black. I stand here right now, and you can quote me on this. The day ISU wears a black helmet or any other part of the uniform, is the day I don't watch ISU football. I understand the logic, "We can't be creative inside of our own color scheme, so let's just put it on black, that will be cool. But that's al it really says to me, "Hack job for alternate uniform"

i like the regular blue, the white and the black. Although the black looks like someone just slapped a KU sticker on a generic black helmet.

The powder blue would have been an early 1960s helmet, to match the 1961-ish jerseys they wore a couple of years ago.

The derpy-looking logo is from the early 1940s.
