He does a pretty good job, he's improved a lot over the last few years.
I don’t mind him. Recommend firing up the Varsity app to hear John and Eric if you don’t want to hear King.

I was going to post that I don't mind the King, but now I wish we had Troy instead. That would have been awesome.
I think a lot of the angst was in his first(?) year when he ended up calling a majority of our games during the Prohmtastic Voyage Covid year. He wasn’t afraid to tell it like it was with how bad our play and coaching was.

He gets too much hate. He has been pretty open about getting things wrong about ISU. He’s kind of like that friend that everyone hates on.
You can tell he played basketball at a high level and he provides commentary that is actually useful. He has also mentioned how big of a TJ fan he is during a game. He is good on the call and I don’t get the hate.
I have a bigger problem with the MBB and WBB games both on ESPN+ at 5:00. Boo hiss!
He's good now. It always cracked me up during his first year when they were doing remote broadcasts due to covid and his partner would consistently wear a suit and dress shirt and tie and King would be there in a hoodie.
I've never gotten the hate for him honestly. He typically knows what he's talking about.
