...and their stadium is a complete joke, ISU fans would kill to have a top 25 team and it'd show with sell-outs, and they can't get 55K to come to the game when Lawrence itself is pushing 100K in population.

No wind, and we win. The ball floated forever, and I mean forever.

agreed. I was there also. Trust me, this is not sour grapes. Rinky Dink is the first thing that came to mind. The crowd was dead.

I agree their crowd was a bit mellow compared to what I expected. Was certainly nice being able to get out of there quickly, we're already back in KC.

In the 2nd half, they would play the fight song and I didn't see 100 people clapping to it, including the already 1/2 gone student section. I sat on the west side with a couple of season ticket holders, and they were embarassed about the crowd. They said it's like that every single game.

Yep, their stadium is a joke. How many times did our guys get pushed/tackled onto the pathetic little rug that covered up their track.

Mangino serously needs to watch his weight and im not even kidding about that. He could die in like 2 years

I think he's even getting bigger. To see a side view of him on TV is absolutely disgusting.
Wonder what his doctor tells him?

I didn't make it to the game this year, but I was in Lawrence for the game 2 years ago. That was the big Orange Bowl year. The crowd was terrible and the stadium was a dump. My wife makes fun of the waving the wheat thing to this day.

Given the size of Lawrence, the proximity to Kansas City, and the success of their football program the last few years, I don't know how their attendance isn't any better. I would say that KU is easily the most popular team in this area. Where are all the people at, it isn't just a bball school anymore/

Have you seen the picture of a young Mangino in eastern Ohio? Looks like nothing compared to what he is now...it is amazing.
