This seems like when someone loses a husband/wife then dies shortly after.. his job was such a big part of his life, didn't take long for him to go after he lost it.

Paterno made a tough and possibly incorrect decision in the moment. When it came out we didn't have all the info, now we don't have all the info and may never have it. We all at different points will or have had a tough decision to make, are we proud of all of our decisions? He has shown empathy for the victims, and otherwise carried himself with class. It is none of our place to judge, if hr passes may he rest in peace.

I have only wished death on two things which are, Osama Bin Laden and Iowa's success against ISU. It's not a great thing and a few people here lack compassion.

Bye then.

Joe knew and he and his staff are scum bags. The PSU fans that defend this scum bag make me sick.

Bury him 8 foot deep...so he don't come back.

I dont feel bad for him. But, then, I have a heart.

Thats bad - We will never know exactly what went on at PSU. Yes he should have pressed the issue but he did what he should have and let the University handle it.

This whole issue has broke his heart and it will take is life in the end.

Umm no, All he needed to do was dial 911. Is that so difficult? That being said, seeing my grandpa die from Cancer I dont wish that on anyone.

Agreed. We dont know exactly what he was told. One side is he was told everything another side says he was told a lot less (and things were given to university police to handle)

In hindsight, it mightve been a bit quick on the firing before they'd done a full investigation on JoePa, but they did it primarily to get the media spotlight off of Penn State, not necessarily because it was the fairest thing to Joe. Maybe an investigation wouldve been more damning, but i also wonder how deep the coverup went at Penn State and that's the real reason Joe had to go, to get the media heat off..

One side says he knew everything, HIS SIDE says different. HIS side so he could try and save face.

Goes to show how much stress influences your health.

I dunno about this. Guy had one of the most stressful jobs that exist for how many years? I'd say this is more representative of how quickly cancer and/or the treatment can kill older people.

I don't wish death on Joe Paterno, but I will not mourn his death and I will believe that anybody who remembers him as a good man lacks moral solitude.
