Any word why he didn't play?

He ran pregame drills today with the 3rd team, but was on the sidelines without his helmet in hand the entire game.

Shoulder dinged up??

Scales looked good, except we had a bad fumble that sould not fall on. Story of our season with 4 more turnovers.

Ran 102-59 number of plays, had ball 39 minutes, outgained Nebraska and still lost with doubled up score, and still screwed it up.

Next week should be a track meet.

22, I stand corrected. Both fumbles looked just as bad. Falling on the loose ball looked like slo mo trip to Oceania. It looked really bad as it squirted behind him. The pitchout was fine.

JJ told me early in the week that he was doing ok and ready to go, but it was a coaching decision to keep him out. which hurt us i believe, scales did ok, But Bass has the breakaway speed we needed

Scales looks like he is moving in slow motion.
he looked good on the option play for a td.. the way he cut back.. it was a glimpse of the scales of the past.. i think he is making big strides to coming back,, u have to remember he has had knee surgery on both knees.. the guy is in tough shape..

on a side note.. maybe we shouldnt be going after guys from valley..
