Sounds to me he'd almost rather pay his own way at Minnesota for a year to gain eligibility instead of going the juco route.

NDSU is an option as well, he only has to sit out 1 year then. NFL ' ER Marcus Williams & RB John Crockett both did this after not getting into Minnesota

I have to admit, it would have been great to get him--but once I saw Michael Warren's film, I didn't think we were missing all that much.

Michael Warren is exciting. His second gear is 5 star imo.

(Official thread derailing...)

I was excited by Warren's second gear from the video, but a little concerned when I saw that he only ran like an 11.34 100m his junior track season. Much more reassured when he tore off a 10.71 this year.

That's crazy fast. I had a dorm mate in school who ran on the track team. He ran something similar to that. Anyone that can run that fast is an athletic freak, just by my experience with this friend.

What position was he offered for? It looks like he's switched from RB to WR and then switched to DB

What's the story here? I must have missed it.

Transferred from Minnesota to IWCC. Didn't get play time with Gophers, while with Gophers he was moved from RB to DB to WR... never really played much and nobody ever really gave a good answer why he went from a high 4* to no production.

I think he will have two years to play at ISU (if he comes), but I may be wrong on that.

It still seemed like Gopher fans, and Coach Kill had high hopes for him. He's really struggled in the classroom though.

Interesting...

Love me some Zorbaz by the way.

I'm from Detroit Lakes. Where the original Zorbaz was established. Hate the place. Great atmosphere but your serve yourself and order your own food. To top it off the drinks and food are insanely high priced.

"Struggled" is probably putting it nicely. He's a heck of an athlete but academic struggles have bogged him down since high school. He has to finish his AA at IWCC before he finds his next home.

I always had a good time at the Ottertail lake location.
