Jacobson is 10/30 from three this season -- the proverbial 33.3333333333333333%.

He is 0/8 in the Big 12, though.

He was 10/22 before the conference season started (a much better 45.4545454545454545%).

Actually, I feel outside of 1-2 games, he has struggled a lot with 3's. I'm not seeing the consistency I thought I would. When teams are backing up off of you and leaving you wide open, you can't hit them, you should probably stop shooting.

33% for a big man is pretty good. Don’t know THT’s numbers, but I wouldn’t be shocked if his 3% is worse.

TTU was getting the bad end of the whistle for a lot of that game.
Tech got the bad end of the first and we got the bad end of the second.
But, look at the fouls in each half. That's where we deservedly so have some gripes.

Wigginton and THT’s shooting numbers are awful right now. Both below 30% on 3Ps. Wigginton may be below 30% in FG% during conference play.

One would assume those numbers will improve and we’ll really be a threat.

The Jacobson 3 is the ultimate 'no no no, yes!' moment. Mostly just 'no no no' as of late

WRT to the refs last night.
From what I saw, it seemed like it was not so much either team was favored, just that it was horribly inconsistent. One possession a guy would get brutally assaulted and it was "play on". The next time there would be a minor bump and "tweet" that's a foul. Just no consistency in what was a foul.

Jacobson can clearly hit the three at a decent clip, even though he's been cold lately. Besides, the point of doing it is to spread out the defense and open driving lanes, so as long as he makes a reasonable percentage, then mission accomplished. It's probably not going to be the go to play call in a critical situation though.

It has to just be mental. He's taking wide open 3's in conference play. Does he just need to see one go in to break the mental barrier. Used to feel good about him shooting the 3, now he's lost his touch.

Btw, re the refs- I think that Italian guy traveled 2, if not 3 times on that close shot in the first half the announcers were fawning over where he pivoted around a couple times. They kept showing a replay of it and it was pretty obvious.

The number of fouls or substance? We had 3 or 4 to give in the first half.

At the end of the day, the incessant ******** about officials is getting old. It's every ******* game anymore.

Not complaining about number just consistency. The mere fact the term "make up call" is used shows there's inconsistencies in officiating.

Jacobson’s shooting would be a bonus. We need more of the rebounding like last night (from the guards, too).

We’re playing small ball while getting basically no outside shooting from our small-ball forwards, and no shooting from our shooting guard (Wigginton). That puts a lot of stress elsewhere. The disappointment lies in the fact we’re talented and versatile enough that we should be able to withstand that with great defense, rebounding, and getting to the bucket/FT line. Last night was a good start. Avoiding bogus calls in the final minute helps, too.

This happened vs. KSU too. Practically a brawl down low but ISU actually had a lay up negated because KSU got called for a tick-tack foul in the lane.

He tried 2 3-ptrs and stopped after he missed both. Good game from him, helped TT doesn't have any size at the 5. Need Lard to get healthy quickly to have a chance at KU.

You used a soccer term in a basketball thread, just caught my eye this morning. That is kinda cool.
